Some clarification--

Recommended Posts

So, the Transformers on Speedia, Animatros etc, have never seen Transformers from Cybertron.  Then how come they each have Autobot/ Decepticon insignia?

Short answer: because Hasbro put faction symbols on them.

The Galaxy Force equivalants don't have them.  Japanese want show accuracy.  Hasbro execs just want kids to know that the toys are (real) Transformers.

Hope that clears it up. :smiley

That's soooo not true.  The Jap versions of the following figures have 'bot/'con logos in the following places

Animatros:

Flame Convoy (Scourge)-small Decepticon logos on the tops of the key activated dragon heads

Fang Wolf (Snarl)-on his thigh opposite the one that stores the key when not in use

Saidos (Backstop)-just below his head

Dinoshout (Undermine)-his left thigh

Terrashaver (Brimstone)-his right wing

Gigalonia:

Megalo Convoy (Metroplex)-on his upper chest near shoulders on both sides

I wouldn't exactly call that "show accuracy" as far as the Galaxy Force figs are entirely concerned.

Want to check my accuracy as to this list, check out Remy's galleries of these figs.

From what I've heard, many of the first run beast/speed planet figure didn't have the faction symbols, but were eventually added to subsequent runs of the figures with them being standard on newer releases.

Hmm, but I pre-ordered Flame Convoy and he came with the symbols.  Tis a conundrum!

another answer would be that the eventually join the respected faction later in the show, so why not have them

On the show they don't start with faction logos, but some characters later do have them like Scourge (Flame Convoy). Hasbro put the logos on all the figures to keep it to an Autobot/Decepticon dynamic when on the show some character I would consider to be neutral so far like Dirt Boss (Inch-up).
