Runamuck, Buzzsaw, Blurr, Longrack

Recommended Posts

Longrack. In Armada I passed this one up until the end. It was either Beastformer repaints or Hoist at this point. To my surprise this was one of my favorites out of all the Armada deluxes. Arms were absolute crap for articulation but what would you expect fro m a mold that features a claw on one arm, and a backhole/shovel for the other. Leg articulation was a vast improvement and probably one of the first in the entire line to feature decent knee articulation and a turntable waist. A real sign of things to come reguarding later molds in Energon, and Cybertron.

The retool unfortunately doesn't leave much to the imagination. Personally I like the colours over the pasty while molding of Hoist. Much more vibrant. Also the head mold looks killer. The added plunger however is a serious  :wtf I assume it preforms the same task as Refute that fugly as hell Minicon in Armada.

Not terribly excited for Longrack but hardly going to skip it either. Loved the mold in Armada and would be honored to add em to my Cybertron collection of bots. :thumb

Blurr's thighs, feet, and crotchplate are translucent smoke-coloured as a side-effect of "Speed Planet"-izing him.  They were obviously molded on the same sprue as his wheels, so when they went to give his translucent wheels like the rest of the Speed Planet guys, the other parts became translucent as well.

Oh, yeah Speed planet. In case you want to know.

Blurr:Speed planet d0y2

Runamuck:Earth planet dw3e

Longrack: Autobot (Cybertron) d48m

Buzzsaw: Decepticon (Cybertron) df58

Please check out my other reviews. I think I'm going to make a point of reviewing everything I get and in the same style. I've been on this board for at least 3 years and no one knows who I am because I only have 200 posts. I tend to be long winded in case you haven't noticed.

I'm picking up Longrack only because I feel there aren't enough contruction TFs (namely Autobot ones...there are plenty of construction Decepticons).  Blurr I'm picking up, as well as Runabout...for nostalgia reasons (they'll keep me at bay while I await the line for next year of G1 redux).  Buzzsaw may be the only one I'll skip.

I snagged Long rack because A: I wanted his Cyberkey and B: he just looked so much better than the previous mold job.

I've got them. They don't seem different from the Galaxy Force releases at all. Well, except for Buzzsaw, who seems like he got some cheaper plastic from Hasbro.

I'm surprised no ones posted pics (that I know of) of Longrack next to his beast wars neo version. The heads are pretty much the same. (but not the same mold)Longrack is definately my fave of the 4. Blurr is a real close 2nd

I don't know quite ewhat to think of the new head. Its a little bit regal for a guy who turns into a crane. Due to the crazy nature of the crown thingy, it doesn't feel like a Transformer head. Maybe a Gundam head, I'm not sure.

I think you're missing the point of the homage...

I wasn't doing TFs in the 90s. Thank you for the info. I now correct my statement to read: "The head is a dead on representation of the BW Neo Longrack. As for this head (insert previous quote here.)

I said the same thing, but it definitely gives this mold a positive nature by comparison.
