Damn that's some fine work.

Reminds me that I need to find a new G1 Dead End for my Menasor set - his hole for the footplate or fist is worn to the point where it won't hold, as such, he's gotta be a foot and I have to not move Menasor around.

repair it using plastic wleder. All you need to do is coat the peg with vaseline, put some plastic welder in the hole, and fit them together. The vaseline will keep the welder from adhering to the foot plate.

If that's too labor intensive, use my "Mac-Gyver" fix... cut some small strips of paper about an inch long and only as wide as the peg is high... wrap the paper around the peg, one layer at a time, and keep trying to insert it until it's tight enough. No risk of ruining anything, and no cost whatsoever. I've used paper to repair loose joints on G1 Astrotrain and G1 Megatron (both were leg repairs), and can even still transform them with no problem. The peg/hole thing shouldn't be a problem at all. Not as professional a fix, but it works, and it's easier and less risky if you don't have VP's skillz! :thumb

i tend not to use paper, as I've found it can jam too easily.

You're probably right, but I rarely transform the ones I repaired anyway, so it's okay for mine. I only did it as a way to make them stand in robot mode for display, so it was an acceptable fix for me. For the stunticon repair he needs, it shouldn't be too bad though... you can always replace the paper if it gets too messed up, but you'll need to replace it each time you take the part out anyway.

(I remember before I realized I could just tighten the screws on his legs, I used to put wads of paper inside Shrapnel's legs in robot mode so he would stand up tall like he's supposed to. I found the screw tightening idea somewhere online, long before I found these boards. That was my first step into repairing and customizing TFs... Ahh, the memories!) :tflaugh

Try right-clicking on the "star" pictures, go to properties, and highlight and copy the URL. Paste it into your browser. That's the only way I could see the pics.

didn't work.

That blasted place. Can't I ever escape its tentacles?
