Fall Toy Show News

Recommended Posts

Didn't see a thread on this, so here goes.

TFW2005 is reporting some very interesting news:

- Autobot Symbol Wall Plaque - Seen it before.

- Decepticon Symbol Wall Plaque - Seen it before.

- Human Sized G1 Matrix of Leadership - The Matrix is made of metal, is fully electronic with lights for the center of the Matrix and opens up. It comes on a stand. the Matrix is fully detailed and completely accurate to the movie.

- Almost Life-Sized G1 Optimus Prime Head - Again, fully metal with electronics. Lights for the eyes. Said to be HUGE and extremely detailed.

- Repaint of Prime Head as Ultra Magnus - Same as above, but is going to be produced in extremely limited numbers.

Here's the Palisades gallery on figures.com with the stuff they have so far.

Here's the Playmates R.E.V.s toys.

Between this, Star Wars, and MegaMorphs, TFing is certainly back in fashion.

Thoughts:

- matrix,  Must. Have.

- prime noggin, maybe.

- mini Ravage statue, maybe.

- REVs, Pass. They've got a ways to go before catching up to Hasbro. But it's nice to see TFs get some domestic competition in the toy aisles.

lol Some of those REV's actually look cool. Well, in car mode they do.

The human-sized Matrix sounds interesting. I wouldn't mind having one. Ditto for the life-sized Prime head.

I think a life size matrix would be cool as a like a $15 roleplay item - but as an all metal colletible - it sounds excessive...

How many of us are goin to sit there and pop open the silly thing hollaring out: "Light Our Darkest Hour" in our best Judd Nelson impression?

Hunter

I assume it's a "human-sized" Optimus head and not "life-sized", because otherwise it'd be like four feet tall.

The life size Spidy that they did a few years back was like $200 - so i am guessing this must be "human-Sized" other wise it would be the size of one of those old Console TV's... or a Coffe table...

No. Not Judd. Robert Stack. Woo!

Ok, 3 feet tall.

so those REV toys are basicly robot shellformers with interchangable car parts? i don't think they'll last very long since kids hate actionfigures that require assembly.
