How Would You End the TF:TM?

Recommended Posts

i would've liked a longer city battle, and maybe seeing Prime being pulled off the battlefield, and all of the surviving Autobots' reactions as they rubbernecked...

Um... Decepticon deaths?  Besides Starscream, and the reformatted ones...although i quite liked Kickback's head getting crushed.  More stuff like that.

I would've had Prime find out about the battle's events before Blaster communicated with him, he arrived too soon to have not done his own research.  I would've liked to see his reaction to the deaths of Ironhide et al.  (BTW, I'm recreating that in my remix of the movie...)

I didn't like that after Ultra Magnus says, "It's gone." in reference to the Matrix, he TAKES A HIKE!  nowhere to be found after that point.  Same with Perceptor, after he advises the crew on secure welding.  That pissed me off.

or maybe : at the end, Springer says "Hey, it turns out Prime was in a coma, and he's gonna pull through!!" :wtf

Probably the reason I'm not a writer....

anybody seen the cover art to dreamwave's g1 issue 12

the one with prime holding alita's lifeless body.

thats something they should have explained at some point in the original movie

with prime changing from honor bound warrior to tragic avenging hero going into that last fight.

definitely...  BTW - play that scene with Faith No More's "Octanelobber", with the dissonant keyboards starting right after he says "No Matter the Cost"...it makes the scene that much more wrenching...

oneending for the movie

Rodimus Prime stood before a balcony, trying to determine what to say to his allies, who had accepted him as leader and bearer of the Matrix. He didn't think himself worthy, but conditions had refused him any other option. So there he stood. Opening his mouth, he finally found the right thing to say.

A new age is upon us now. By banding together, Mecha, Femme, Junkion, Human, and even Orphans we have saved our very existence. We have saved our Universe, preserved our way of life, destroyed the greatest threat to our galaxy, and sent an army bent on conquest to the far reaches of known territory. this day is the beginning of a new age, an age of peace and harmony

"Let this mark the end of the Cybertronian Wars, as we march forward to a new age of peace and happiness. Till all are one!"

and with that thought voiced aloud he contemplated the past. we will remember those who we traveled with.He thought to himself, To the last hour, the last day, the last mile of the road we travel. until the day when all are one. "I don't know if I will ever be the great leader that you were, Rhodimus Prime thought to himself, but for sure I’ll give it my best shot" "rest in peace Optimus Prime. Rest in peace, father" He said to himself. "Till all are one!" repeated the gathered Autobots. Kup, Springer, and Arcee joined hands with Wreck-Gar, who was to become the first ally in this new era. "Till all are one!". " Cheering, the gathered crowd repeated the statement at ear shattering volume. “TILL ALL ARE ONE!

Leaving the partying crowd, the new Prime walked off on his own, but was soon found by ultra magnus, who gave him a pat on the back “We did it Roddy, we won. The Decepticons are scattered, their leader has been deactivated permanently, and you’re the new Prime. Optimus would be proud of you…I know I am. Sighing softly, Rodimus turned his optics to his old friend, a line of fluid running down his cheek. “Would he be magnus? I’m the reason he's dead, and nothing I do will ever remove that taint from my Spark.“But Roddy….“No buts magnus. I know I never intended for it to happen but just the same i have only myself to blame for his passing. nothing you or anyone else tells me will ever change that otherwise. i can only hope that i will prove myself worthy of this role bestowed upon me. perhaps i can redeem myself by my actions in life from this moment forward.

Looking towards the heavens, Rodimus sighed and wiped the fluid from his optics. I hope I’m doing the right thing Optimus. I know you’re up there….please guide me to do the right thing. "If- if you don't feel ready for this, we can wait . . ," he murmured. The Autobot leader shook his head and rested one hand on his chest, directly above the flames emblazoned there. The seams of his chestplate seemed to glow with a supernatural azure light- the light of the Matrix, ultra magnus suddenly realized- and Rodimus's face softened. A gentle smile lit his face as the fear in his optics bled away into an eerie calm. ultra magnus felt chills run down his body; it suddenly seemed as though the two of them were no longer alone in the area. the air began to shimmer around them, the area in front of them became bathed in a blinding white light. slowly but surely the light began to take shape and form in front of them. the features were blurry at first as the being began to take physical shape and substance as it began to slowly take one step and then another step away from the light emminating from behind it. someone was walking towards them from the other side of the matrix. magnus could sense more then see who it was. a legendary warrior stood before them restored to his youth. he stood tall and proud in the red, white and blue colors he so proudly wore in life. the age no longer visable on his face and body. the hero in his youngest days his youth restored to him in full. he stood there next to Rhodimus holding out his left hand. Rodimus lifted his hand off his chest and laid it back by his side. The hand was reflexively clenched in a half-fist, like a small child's hand as it grasps the hand of it's parent. the father was there for his son plainly visable to the both of them not entirely solid but physical enough to be felt by the 2 of them.

my brother, my comrade, my friend may you rest in peace magnus thought as he saw his brothers spiret standing before them as alive and lively as he had ever been in life, even his injuries from his final battle had been fully healed "I'm ready, 'magnus. Do what you have to." " . . . But- are you sure?" He shook his head, the faint smile still playing on his lips. "It's all right. After all," and the Matrix light flickered and strengthened, "I'm not alone.". time would eventually heal his wounds and he would come to terms with it and prove to be worthy of his new role in life. The sun rises over Cybertron The Autobots had won, but rebuilding the wreck that Cybetron had become would take years, and the Decepticons were not extinct, only driven away. There would be years of hardship ahead, but the large-scale war had finally ended.

It wasn’t long after their friends had returned, led by Hot Rod - now Rodimus Prime - that a flicker of awareness finally returned to Sideswipe. His optics slowly flickered to life, falling on the face of his brother. Sunstreaker was sitting up, but obviously in a restorative cycle, optics shuttered as he leaned slightly forward. His armor was scuffed and dull... he couldn't have seen a wax in weeks.

Weakly, surprised at how difficult it was to get his body to respond, Sideswipe lifted one hand, flicking his brother softly in the forehead. Sunstreaker started awake, drawing several weapons from subspace as if prepared to be attacked... and then he saw that his brother was awake, smiling quietly at him from the medical shelf, a flicker of that foxlike personality he had missed so much for the past two months showing in his dimly lit optics.

"Sideswipe!" For the first time in a very long time, a broad grin split Sunstreaker's features. "You're awake! It's about damn time!" Laughing softly, Sideswipe tilted his head to one side on the table, keeping his attention on his twin's smiling face. "Aw, c'mon... you should know better than to think I'd be down and out forever!" He twitched, a brief expression of pain crossing his features before he quickly masked it. "What'd I miss...?" That question wiped Sunstreaker's face clean of all expression. The yellow warrior sat quietly for a moment before he finally sighed, deciding to lay it to his brother straight. "Optimus Prime is dead." Sideswipe gaped at him, but Sunstreaker continued. "So's Ratchet... Wheeljack, Ironhide, Prowl, Brawn, and Windcharger... and... so many others..."

"Primus," whispered Sideswipe, barely audible. "...everyone... Ratchet and Prowl too?" When his brother nodded, the red warrior looked away, and that expression that Sunstreaker hated replaced the sly half-smile. His brother looked... pained. "Primus, I can't believe it... they killed... everyone. And Optimus, great Primus..." The two fell into silence for a moment until Sideswipe finally tried to sit up. Quietly, Sunstreaker reached forward, helping him along the way, keeping his hand gently against his brother's back. "Take it easy, 'Swipe... you're still recovering..." Sideswipe frowned deeply... he had obviously just checked his internal time registry. "...For two months?!" "You almost didn't make it." Sunstreaker looked down and away, his expression dark. "Do you realize how many times I thought First Aid was going to wake me up to tell me you were gone too?" His brow furrowed, his hands balling into tight fists. "I was af... I mean..." He stopped, staring quietly at his brother when Sideswipe shook his head. "Sunny... don't."

Close to another week passed before First Aid passed his approval, and Sideswipe was allowed to leave medical. A couple of days spent recharging and a run through the wash rack later, the twins stood before Rodimus Prime as charismatic and nasty as they had always been. Slowly, the new leader let his optics drift from one brother to the other. Then, he slowly smiled. "Now I understand why Optimus had so much trouble with you two... I can almost see the problems with you two standing in one room together." "We aim to please!" chirped Sideswipe playfully. Sunstreaker's expression did not change, but Rodimus swore he saw the twitch of a smile at the corners of the sullen mech's mouth. "You wanted to see us for something?" "Well, I'm putting you two back on active duty - as a pair, mind you - doing recon work. It's simple stuff, but with the Decepticons moving again... well, I'm sure you'll see the battlefield again soon enough. Besides, this will give you a chance to stretch your legs after all the time you've spent in here... after the accident." The twins looked at each other in mild disbelief, and Rodimus suddenly found himself surprised as they seemed to discuss something between themselves in a language he was pretty sure didn't exist... except to them, of course. Then, Sideswipe gave his trademark sideways grin. "That sounds like a plan to us, Rodimus." And so it went. That evening, without the knowledge of a single other Autobot in the city, the twins made their way out. There were no goodbyes, for no one they truly knew remained. Sunstreaker looked at Sideswipe. The red twin gave his brother a broad, arrogant grin. The pair transformed, revving their engines, and then took off down the narrow path leading to the highway. Wherever the road took them wasn't so much a concern now. They were together again, and that was all that mattered.

His kick-ass version of TF:TM ending

Hey, that's pretty good! When I bought the TF:TM DVD a while back, I had hope that there were "deleted scenes" added to the DVD, but sadly, that was not the case.

For me, the ending (yeah, I didn't put my version in, even though I started the thread...hahah) would go something like this:

When Unicron exploded, his debris destroyed Cybertron.

A new scene fades in (which replaces the "till all are one" scene) - You see spaceships flying around, huge construction equipments and scaffolding are shown building something. As it turns out, Junkions and the Earthlings stepped in to help the Autobots to rebuild Cybertron and its moons using the remnants of Cybertron, Unicron, Lithone, and parts of Junkion. If you've watched "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy," there was a scene where they were reconstructing Earth. I was thinking somewhere along the line of that. In this scene, you'll see Perceptor, Grapple, Huffer, and Wheeljack (who would not have died in my version of the movie - heck, he was alive in Transformers: Victory) as chief foremen of the construction. You'll see Grimlock and the Dinobots bungling to get their duties done, and you'll also see Wheelie knocking over a cement cache, burying him under tons of cement, while Daniel looks on and laughs his head off - Wheelie retaliates by shooting him with his fire-sling.

Rodimus Prime and Ultra Magnus overlooks the construction. Rodimus says to Ultra Magnus, something along the line like: Unicron may had destroyed the old Cybertron, but in his wake, he'd managed to unite the Autobots like we never had before.

Rodimus Prime then goes on a balcony and made the announcement like he did in the movie.

The reason why I picked this as an ending is because I thought it would make a good foil/anti-parallel to the beginning of the movie, where a planet was destroyed in the beginning, another is being built in the ending.

good idea but instead of having cybertron totally destroyed, just have it really badly damaged by Unicron's assault and at the end, the autobots and their allies get together to repair the damage.

You know I wanted to read that...but it's so loooooong :P

Anybody got the abridged version?

Likewise. :D

Although, we could simply end it with all the autobots and decpticons singing the smurf song, and dancing together. (then again, isn't that pretty much how they ended the series after the movie? ;lol

One of the question I had was - why didn't the Autobots and the Decepticons declared a truce when they've realized that they didn't realize the bigger threats out there in the universe? The movie ending made no sense. Then again, neither did Blurr.
