If the newer alts aren't going to be shipping four different characters at a time, how is BBTS getting cases of prowl/sunsteaker/skids/tracks?

I just saw a case of Alts at my TRU that had Prowl, Wheeljack, Decepticharge and Swindle in it. FWIW

The new assortment isn't starting till next year right? Just in time for Walmart to play catch up.

I've been confused about this as well, the only idea I have is that they break down the cases that they get and repackage them.

 

On a similer note we now all have to re-pre-order the new 4 Alts because they've changed their website, a bit unprofessional if you ask me, since now who ever pre-ordered first will be unlikely to get them first and having to re-put in me card details again seems a bit wrong to me and there's an increase in shipping prices by about £10. Also you don't really save musch money with Pile of Loot as you still have to pay $5 for every pound in weight the parcel is.

Was the new single-figure per case assortment scheme ever confirmed by Hasbro?  I was under the impression it was still classified as "rumor" - and to tell the truth, I kind of have a hard time beleiving it because I doubt that the toy manager of every Walmart pays (or wants to pay) that much attention to how well individual Alts sell.

It 'twas confirmed.  I believe that came in with the flood of other Botcon news.

I think in BBTS's case, they just order a lot of the cases to cover all their preorders, then split or send out the whole case as needed.  As for the new one alt case and walmart, I have to agree with Trench, I dont think each walmart manager is looking at all those windchargers saying...man i wonder why we cant sell those. I just look at how pathetically stocked all toys are at my two walmarts and I get the feeling they dont really care about toys. I would def like to finally hear some concrete news on this though.

Although some of the Alts mentioned as future releases in the same rumor(Sunstreaker and Tracks) have come to pass, others, such as white Mazda with #4 racing deco, seem to be untrue (this same rumor is also the origin of "blue Tracks with flame sticker").  The rumor also had no mention of Mirage or Optimus - the latter of which is pretty big news.

That part was debunked almost as soon as the news broke.

BBTS haven't jacked up international shipping costs.

 

That's projected shipping. Not actual.  Bear in mind, the calculator can't cover the differing rates for each country in Europe....  Previously international customers didn't get any shipping quote at all.

 

There's one other feature in there, which is a benefit to international customers, plus

the card is now kept on file.

 

Overall, i think the site upgrade is good.  The loss of flat rate shipping means nothing to me, since im out of The U.S
