Unlike a lot of lazy folks out there, when it comes to posing my figures, I am highly persistant in finding a good pose or figuring out a way to get them to do what I want. Very shortly after getting my Prowl I found out 2 things. Number one, Just like Sideswipe and Windcharger, he has working knees. Two, his engine is the easy to put in and the best fitting since the Corvette mold. I found that if you keep his knee cap(lower knee joint) vertical and just bend the upper knee, he can ge into all types of bended knee poses, while still maintaining an completely original bot mode.

I eventually tried out the moded legs and have to admit, even though is make him look more like the Mustangs, he can get into far greater poses. the down side is, you can see clearly into his rear windows and see completely hollowed out legs. Which is weird if your paying attention.

I switched his legs back and forth, like three times and have decided to go with the modded legs. The extra freedom is hard to resist. What have you guys decided. (If you even have em yet :redface )

I've decided to leave em Modded as Seen here

When I originally saw the post title, I was gonna say something like "It will take you less time to mod Prowl than it took you to write this post, and it's a great addition to an already great figure."

Then I saw you did it a bunch, and liked it, and i say kudos to you.

I think he looks great like that... did I miss out on Sideswipe and Windcharger mods or something?

also, HOW THE HELL do you get that damn engine in?  I haven't correctly put it in yet. what's your secret? :)

When I first opened the fig, I took great note to the fact the his arms in car mode are are pointing toward each other in an almost "V" formation instead of parallel. When I transformed him back, I put the arms back into the same formation and( this part is so hard to describe) now that the gun is folded into engine mode, take the back part of the flat panel ( the piece that actually mimics the look of the engine) and not only place it on the arms, slide it up under the black engine carriage. You know, the black plastic under the hood, right before the dash board. Now I Know what your saying, "But now the front of the engine won't go down." Here's what you do, you place your thumb on the the front of that puppy and force it in. There will be a click, and now your engine will be firmly in place underneath the black pastic engine carriage and that silver chrome piece above your Acura A(Alt) or your Honda Police badge(BT)

Another thing I've heard folks complain about is that, his chest isn't lucked in robot mode. I had the same issue and resorted to using the instructions. If you fold the side car panels(the panels under his doors) so that they are facing straight down or if your looking at the under carriage of the car, the panels will be facing you instead of being closed against the under carriage of the car. Now when you close his chest down, the front end will click onto the two panels and stay in place.

hope this makes since. it's hard to describe with no pics. I need a digicam.

I have the BT Versions of Prowl and did the leg mod on the police cruiser, and loved it.  It looks great and really does bring something to this figure.

Windcharger's knees are just tight. Apply just a little force, and they'll move. :thumb

I'm getting alt prowl and BT blue Prowl.  I'll try the mod on the alt first and see how i like it.

I found it easier to lock in the front of the engine to the grill part first, then the other side of the engine slips underneath the windshield like a glove.  i love my modify prowl.

I'll be damned.  Great job!  thanx a lot.

Next Prowl question:  What's the hole for on one of his undercarriage flaps?  Located under the red vent, on his modded right leg.

Who the hell voted Not to mod? Jeez - we're all entitled to our opinions but voting to Not Mod Prowl is almost as stupid as voting for George W.!

Atleast it's easy as hell to do. Not like the whole E Stormjet thing . The funny thing is Stormjet had bendable knees before the mod. No one bothered to force em. The click in 2 spots like Alt Windcharger.

Don't be a geek. Leave the legs in their intended transformation.  With those ball jointed ankles, you should be lucky he can stand up at all.
