What do you mean by Takara?  I guess you should be asking Tomy that question since Takara will be absorbed right? :tfhuh

IIRC, Takara is putting Transformers on 'hiatus' after Galaxy Force.  Probably in preparation for the movie.

Takara will eventually stop making transformers !

And when they do, TOMY will most likely start , LIKE DUUUH, the likelyhood of ending the line is about the same as the POPE being JEWISH (no offence)

TF=top line=$$$$$$$$

i hope not...i am still hopin for a twincast repaint of blaster...wohoo...we got soundblaster...why not twincast...

The only change will be a different logo on the box.  The design staff will remain much the same if not identical, and they'll probably still be using the same factories.

Takara  putting TF's on hold was probably on the cards before Tomy got involved.

The Takara brand won't officially 'disapear' until round about March or so(?)

Would anyone REALLY weep for the main line as long as we kept getting our GI and BW reissues and BT/Alts?  To me, the main line TF's are a neccesary evil that allows for the creation (or recreation) of truly great products.

As a Zoids and TF collector (tho Zoids has been on hiatus for a year due to TF collecting), I don't see a huge deal. I love Tomy, and it'll be good to get a break and get caught up.

Now if only I could find a GF Vector Prime... =(

Armada was a bit 'meh. Some of Energon i really enjoyed. Most of GF/Cybertron i've really liked. Based on that upward trend, i for one would be sorry to see the end of a main TF line.'

I wouldn't unless we had a good show.

Didnt Hasbro make an increased profit of 6% this year over last year?

The problem is that in Japan there are lots of robot toys being released like that Gundam stuff.

Here that does not sell, in The Netherlands it was sold when Armada was in stores but on clearance soon.

The Japanese have plenty of alternatives so Transformers are not really a nessecity. So Takara sales might have dropped so that would be a reason for them pulling out.

However, I think Hasbro alone would do quite nicely. The reissues are being ****** up by the US safety laws which should be rescinded. I mean, we all played with these toys and were we ever hurt?

The recent US only toys such as Hardtop and Armorhide were pretty cool so I have no doubt in Hasbro's ability to make good Transformers.

Plus it would mean they would have to make a new cartoon instead of importing it.  :clap
