such a shame these havent been reissued yet, hastakomy could make a fortune

All the Dinobots have metal parts.

Grimlock: Waist.

Slag, Sludge, Snarl, Swoop: Chest.

Oh yeah I forgot that Grimlock has a metal waist.  :redface  Why does it matter anyhow if they are plastic or metal?

Sludge was always my fav.  I remeber when I got him.  I had just gotten Chicken Pox, and I was on my way to the Dr, when my mom pulled him out from the backseat and gave him to me.  I was so in to dinosaurs (esp Brontosauruses) and Transformers at the time it was like a dream come true.  In fact that is the only Transformer I actully remember getting, other then Scorponok, but I was older by then and my memory had developed. lol

All my dino's have metal chest, I never see one with plastic chest ¿?¿¿?

Were the Dinobots still being sold in 1986? Hasbro may have replaced the metal parts in the 1985 releases with plastic like they did with many of the 1986 releases (e.g. the Aerialbots, Triple Changers, etc.).

All the Dinobots have metal parts.

Looks like I'm gonna have to bust out ol Grimmy and see if it's true. It should be..  :redface I honestly haven't had him out on display recently so its been awhile.

I don't think my Dinobots have metal.  They were just more durible plastic then those Energon "dinobots"

More durable plastic? I don't think so. Heavier, low-tech plastic compared to today's plastics which are lighter but more durable. There's lots of things that break on the old G1s. A transformer collector friend really loves the dinobots and is also a parts scavenger, reassembling multiple broken bodies into 1 complete body. But Sludge always has a problem with the same hip breaking(can't remember if it's right or left), but he's got several sludge bodies with the same hip intact and the other hip always broken.
