Pat and Roger Lee are responsible for the rise and fall of Dreamwave Productions. Some claim that they breathed new life into the TF franchise by publishing comics like G1, Armada/Energon, War Within, and TF/Joe. Others claim they're the reason we have hanging plotlines from G1 and War Within.

Marty Isenberg and Bob Skir were the lead writers on Beast Machines. Some claim that they revolutionized the TF mythos through their techno-organic philosophy and engaging story telling. Others say it did irrepairable damage to the mythos.

Who do you think has done more damage and thus deserving your scorn? And please explain why.

the Lee brothers...they built our hopes up and then stabbed the fans AND the emplyees in teh back...not to mention never really FINISHED ANYTHING

Beast Machine had its potential, but instead of using that opportunity to delve into Cybertron's history and the fate of some of the G1 characters, Isenberg and Skir concentrated WAAYYY too much on the New Age philosphy they were trying to preach. Hell, whatever happened to the Tripredicus council? What happened to Unicron's head that was orbiting Cybertron? Whatever happened to the Autobot Matrix of Leadership? Those two slipped up REALLY bad, much worse than the Lee brothers.

I went with the lee borthers since I have yet to see beast machines...maybe i willl change my mind when I do lol. For now I think that the DW comics were good but changed too much of the factual stuff from G1. Also the face that they never really finished anything and called it quits...Lame

G1 cartoon: yes

G1 comic: not so much

A lot of what they addressed was from the G1 marvel comic continuity. And that wasn't the Lees, that was McDonough and Patyk.

I liked Beast Machines, and I can't help but feel for the DW employees that got the shaft whilst Pat Lee quietly transfered his Porche from "company asset" to "personal asset", a sure sign that he knew his company was about to collapse. Instead of personally ensuring that people got paid for their work, he went and looked after his own little personal interests. So, I voted for Pat Lee.

Though I don't personally hate any of them.

Personally I liked the 'beast machines' series I know they tried to steer clear of the in-depth TF history, but at least that way it remains open as to wich timeline it belongs to!(beast wars inclusive) :thumb

The G1 DW comics that I spent a lot of money and has been left unresolved and probably never will be continued, focuses all my hate on the Lee brothers.

this is just kindling for a "i hate bm" thread. once and for all, we know the majority of people disliked bm. as for someone who really liked bm, its getting a little tiresome.

I voted the Lee brothers. What Bob did wasn't malicious, it was a plain straight **** up, and he didn't personally hurt people with his actions.

I far from love Beast Machines, but the writers don't deserve hate.
