The Beast Wars humans were just as annoying though.

Oh hell's bells, Spike was the best kid in any of the series! Those brats from RiD were the absolute worse!

Koji was pretty acceptable to me.  He had a decent reason for being involved, and he never really helped the autobots win unless he was controlling Fort Max.

Other then Beast Wars though every series has had kids.  Its what they use to give the kids a way to imagine they are out there with the TFs.  All those little five-10 year olds the show is really aimed at can pretend they are the kids in the show when they play with their TFs.

I'm jut hoping that with the movie they go with like a older teenager or collage students if they must use "kids" in it.  Better not be little 13 year olds in that or I'll shoot some one.

I always assumed he was a teenager, 16-19-alot older than I was as a kid watching the show. In the movie he's what 30?

because the real reason the writers do this is because they don't know how to characterize giant robots so they rely on human characters to drive the plot.

Are kids that really hard to characterise? No, not really. Take Armada, just make one kid fat and obsessively moan for food even when the chaos god threatens to destroy the universe!

Yeah I was thinkin the same thing.. but then police officers pull him over when driving bumblebee around and ask if he's old enough. That and his job was on an oil rigger.. which isn't exactly baggin groceries down at the supermarket..

It would be cool if one of the kids (or all of them, any series) were riding in a transformer and he was suddenly attacked and he forgot the kid was in him and he transformed and crushed the kid to pulp. That would be sweet.

Spike had a deep voice so I guess I figured he was around 18.  14 sounds about right that would mean he was 34 in the movie and Carly 35.
