The Unofficial MP Convoy Trailer Thread

Recommended Posts

So does anyone have any pics of how the base deck looks in the cartoons?  How big it is in comparison to Prime when he's in robot mode.  I mean, would a true (or closer to true) MP trailer have to somehow transfrom into a bigger base deck while of course keeping the trailer mode itself the same proportion?  MP prime in cab mode is only maybe a bit more than twice as large as G1 prime but in bot mode its more than 3 times as large.  And that's how it is in the toons isn't it.  Some bit of mass changing involved.  Well, I think that's how it is with the base deck too so to make a truer MP trailer the base deck has to be bigger too which I think can be achieved.  Also, are there other things in the base deck besides the cockpit/dual cannon thing and a couple of arms.  I saw in one screen capture that the cockpit/dual cannon thing have wheels and can be mobile.  Seriously though, if anyone can find pics of the base deck in the cartoons or comics, please share.  I've done searches but can not find any.

I don't know about comics, but I can only think of maybe once that the trailer actually did anything in the cartoon other than roll offscreen backwards, and that was only the claw arm from the "cockpit" thing reaching out to grab a damaged autobot to load into the trailer.  I don't think the trailer ever opened up into a deck on the show, but if anyone remembers it did in a specific episode, I'll grab a screencap.  I have all the DVDs, I just need to know which episode to look in.

I remember in Season 1 - "More Than Meets the Eyes" Part 3, At the end where Optimus Prime and Megatron was having this fight just before the Decepticons took off in their spaceship, Prime opened up his trailer to have the drone inside it to fire at Megatron, then Megatron destroyed the drone in the trailer, then out of nowhere, Prime shoot lasers out of his fingertips to get rid of Megatron's cannon (most stupid thing I've ever saw, even as a kid I knew back then that was cheesy.)

he opened the trailer several time all in the earlier episodes  that one episode mentioned was title " attoack of the autobots" or something like that

well right now im in the proccess of makeing my own

You saw it wrong.  Prime commanded his deck to fire at Megatron at the same time as Megatron fired at it.  It knocked Megatron's cannon of his arm while Megatron's blast destoryed it.  Prime didn't shoot lasers out of his hand then.

"More Than Meets The Eye" part 3. Funny thing is the command deck was destroyed by Megatrons blast. I guess that the two don't feel the pain inflicted on the other as the spec says.

"Attack Of The Autobots"   Possibly the most toy accurate image evah.

Wow, that's it huh?  Very underwhelming.  No wonder they never made an official MP trailer.  It would just be a supersized G1 trailer like all the customs.
