Cybertron Optimus Prime *is* a fun toy -- my kids certainly can't get enough of him. I'd have to say that he's easily better than Armada or Energon Prime, though Bendy Prime is a fun little toy as well. RiD Prime is interesting.... I like what they tried to do with him, but I don't think it ultimately works b/c of all the pieces and the fact that his arms and legs look... well, poofy and white.

 

Which leaves G1 or G2, I suppose. Laser Prime is a great mold, but could have done with a more Prime-y paint scheme (or just less "prototype-ish" perhaps).

 

I'm gonna say "screw all of them" and go with Mega SCF Anime Convoy. :thumb

Call me crazy, but I am a huge fan of "Final Battle" Armada Optimus Prime.  The Powerlinx Prime/Powerlinx Jetfire/Overload combination is very aethetically pleasing.  Check the link below and see if you agree.

While the colors are not the classic ones, it's certainly a super cool looking robot.

 

As far as more traditional Primes go, I'd say Cybertron OP just edges out the little Armada Bendy Prime.  G2 Laser OP would be my favorite if he had a better color scheme.

for some reason, i really hate the coloring for g2 laser prime, i like RID scourge better O_O or even his unierse g1 spychanger colors.

you know i agree with the colours they are cool but the lack of movable parts and when overlord is attached hes very unstable

well i have to go with Big Convoy he just screams bad ass and IMO G convoys head is a clear homage to his

And although i really really like RiD and MP they both suffer from low playability.  they are too complicated.  But as an adult collector - they are my faves!

 

still... oldschool G1 is really really nice..... :drool

I'm just an old bot fan. Prime's always been in my collection. even the craptacular Armada Prime. A lot of primes have been good and bad over the years anyway and with the toylines always changing its impossible to say which one is the definative best of them all.

 

On the other hand, DON FIGUROA PRIME is definantly one of the best drawn versions.

I don't try and collect all the Transformers ever, but one thing I pride myself is having every Optimus Prime figure.  At least the ones released in America, with a few Convoys on the side.  But Rodimus is still my favorite character, there just isnt enough versions of him.  And I try not to count Hot Shot, although this new repaint with Roddy's colors is spiffy.
