The Cybertron Starscream Thread

Recommended Posts

I have started this thread as a record of the various modifications that I have made/will make to Cybertron Supreme Starscream. I have started by painting his eyes.

I started by removing the back panel where SS's electronics are placed. There are a few supports and brackets that will need to be removed in order to remove the head. During this little adventure I discovered that SS does indeed have a light up feature in his eyes. However, it only works when you raise his right arm (the one w/the sword) above his head. Up to this point I was under the assumption that the eyes didnt light up at all. Finding out that he had light piping made this job all the more easy, as now I only needed to paint a removable part. Now I wouldn't have to risk getting red paint on his face.

The pics below tell the story.

Before any modifications....

Teh Discovery! :eek The circled part is the light bulb for SS's eyes.

I hope these next two pics do the paintjob justice...the eyes really make him come to life when you see him IRL.

This is just one of the many ideas that I have for additional paint apps & mods for SS, so I'll post all of them here.

Feel free to not only post your comments but any mods you may have made to your SS here!

thats pretty cool, might have to try that myself :thumb

Looks much better now. Another modification I think you should do is paint the things that look like missiles (next to his head) gold.

Oh, that sounds like a cool idea. I may just try that....

Cool.  Do they light up red now?

No, but the light up eyes feature was lame anyway...when I found out about it I figured out that you had to raise his right arm above his head to even get them to light up. It's not like they lit up at a press of a button like his shoulder missiles. I like the beaming red much better.

I will if I can get my hands on some paint that works on the rubberized parts.
