I tried sniping for the first time

The vinyl dye process is relitavely easy, and requires no real working knowledge before hand (as long as your sharp enough to follow directions).  You can do it one of two ways.  You can use the automotive grade spray stuff just like spray paint, just be sure to clean your parts very well, and prep them with Prep-Sol or rubbing alcohol.

The other process is a little more involved and can be potentially messy but is garaunteed not to rub off.  You can use RIT laundry dye easily on most plastics with a varying degree of success.  Be sure to disassemble and clean your parts as much as possible, LOW SIMMER the parts in the dye/water DON"T BOIL, and if possible be sure to suspend your parts (wire frying basket or something similar) in the hot dye to prevent them getting too close to the heat source.  As long as you take your time (the longer you take to simmer the parts, the darker the shade of the color your using) and keep in mind that you can't dye black parts white :punch, then you should be fine.  Good luck!

I love how people will drive up the price of the auction for the seller, and then the seller comes back to you and offers you the second chance offer.

I always refuse the second chance offer, because I assume that in cituations like that, the seller has someone driving up the price and expected you to keep bidding and then when you stop they are left having to accept the last price you put in, and then offer you the second chance offer to try and save the sale.

It is just dishonest.

Well, I'm sure that "most" of the time that is correct.  However, in my situation it was not.  Last month I put one of my two G1 Jetfire's up for sale.  I put a fairly high starting price on it, so there wasn't much bidding.  In the end, there was only a couple of bids on the item.  The winning bidder was "shockwaveissuperior".

I get an email immediately after the auction saying..."OMG, I didn't want to win I was just trying to drive the price up for you!  I don't have the money to pay for this!"  Needless to say, I was pissed.  I gave the other guy a second chance offer...but he probably thought the same as you and I do, that I had someone trying to drive up the price.  So of course, he didn't take it.

I was stuck having to relist the item and because of the high dollar amount of the auction, this nutjob cost me $10 because of his stupid move.  The worst thing is, I didn't want to give this Me Grimlock no bozo, me king! negative feedback because I have 100% positive and I fear retalitory negatives.

I was asking how he made the custom.  :P  but thanks anyway.

:D  oops, my bad.

I have offered second chances on things but only because I have multiple items and I go out of my way to email them pictures showing the multiple items.

Nice grab.

I don't know a bloody thing about sniping but I also haven't been on Ebay in the past 3/4 years either. Anyway I've finally decided to take my TF collecting to a new level of seriousness and reapplied for a new Ebay account. Personally I only like bidding in the last couple of hours because that gives you a chance to drop a final hefty bid, and not worry to much about it being outbid in the short time you have.

I just won this Target exclusive of Dreadwind, and Smokejumper and didn't even come close to my final bid of $25 US. :clap Also reguarding the item, is this the same mold that was released in G2 but named Darkwing or something similar? That's kind of what I was hoping for. The Rid styled packaging threw me off some though.
