Well, that link helped me. The numbering process finally makes sense.

 

 

The order of series released is

Lions

Vehicle

3 robots (never aired)

 

(Just go with me on this) :thumb

 

But that is not how the individual teams are numbered. They are numbered by their point in the universe Near, Middle, and Far.

 

Voltron I is the vehicle voltron. He is from the Near Universe segment.

Makes sense to me because 1 is the nearest number to the beggining.

 

Voltron II is the 3 robot combo. He is from the Middle Universe. Since there are three Voltrons and he's in the middle, he's #2.

 

Voltron III is the lion team. They are from the Far Universe. Being the furthest out makes him last and thusly #3.

it was cracked magazine and i owned it. the art was good. if i remember correctly there were spoofs of optimus prime and c3p0 and r2d2 as well. i wish i still had that. i have no idea where it went.

voltron would'nt have much of a chance now go-lion on the other hand hell yeah he could take the fight to predaking for sure.

 

for those who don't know go-lion was actually a sentiint mechanoid of some sort perhaps even partially cybertronian in origins. his american counter part voltron was just a piloted mecha

I had that too.... I recall someone, maybe Threepio, moaning that no one wanted loveable droids when you could have a robot the size of an apartment complex.

Not sure who "Megas" is, but I assure you that I'm not him. However, apparently he and I do share an interest in vs. topics. Sorry if no one else likes it, I've just always enjoyed thinking about who would win in crossover matches.

True, they can be interesting if well thought up.

 

I mean a Predaking versus a huge machine controlled by humans. It is a no brainer. Any Transformer is deadler than that, not to mention Predaking one of the deadliest combiners ever made.

Preadking looks OK in the G1 cartoon but the toy, frankly... compared to any robot

from an anime or a sentai show (=robots from Power rangers), it rather looks like an ugly, incoherent mess of animal parts
