Interesting idea, but I think it would come off as too Super-Saiyonish to really work.

Super Saiyonish? then the japanese should love my idea :P

The problem with the megs - galvy transformation is that we are getting straight repaints.... The fortmula worked in G1 because Galvatron was more than just a power-up, he was a new character, completely different physically and with different character traits.  Now we just get Megartron and galvatron/the purple power up repaint.

In oprder for galvatron to be a more plausible character, he must be more than a repaint, aretool or an extensive upgrade of the Current Megs mold.

damn,  and I though I was gonna see pics.  Galvatron's here!  time for real screenshots now!

first...I do agree...I mean they got the whole upgrade thing right with the Vangaurd team...THAT was pure briliance. Especaill with Scattorshot/Backpack :D

BUT I do have to say...the Galvatron colors are perfection on this recolor...more desireable than the Armada thing and RID...

You'd rather they lost the name, and then have fans Starscreaming about it for years?

i just want the up-grade to have a story significance. it wouldn't be that hard, either. just a simple comment saying that Megatron is a different color because of the galvanization process that made his armor stronger. but really, that's about the only thing a repaint can symbolize: a reinforcing of a tf's armor. for all intents and purposes, a repaint's fire-power and other abilities remain the same.

I was thinking about the repaint=power uprgade thing the other night. what if in one series they had the characters get a massive internal upgrade, and the only difference on the outside is the new paintjob?
