Deluxe prices =/= $35, even when you adjust for inflation.  Nobody ever paid that much, or the equivalent, for a Grapple or Hoist.  Not counting Ebay fiends, of course.

Blah Blah Blah blah, no pics, no believin.  And if hasbro doesn't release the takara reissues like Predaking, Perceptor, the insecticons and Star Convoy, these reissues are destined to become shelfwarmers.

may be hasbro can't release any G1 figures...i have a feeling

For the naysayers, this is P.Prime we're talking about. Doubting his word is almost like doubting Hasbro itself. :)

To the uniniated, he always like to tease people and make them wait for a couple of days if the stuff he has on-hand is a big deal for fans.

I think most people don't realize that the original TFs were actually relatively expensive toys.  (I worked at a toy store during the TFs original release - in terms of sales the Transformers never sold as well as the Go-Bots, as the latter cost less).  In the catalog scans that ErikB posted a while back Hoist was $12.59 in 1985, adjusted for inflation this is $22.23 in 2005 dollars (the Seekers were $15.59, which adjustes to $27.67).  So the old Deluxes were essentially the same price point as today's Voyager class - and the original Seekers/Coneheads the same as today's Ultra class.

Hoist and Inferno were $30 at TRU, the seekers and Rodimus Prime were $35.  Considering the limited sales volumes possible for each reissue released, adding a little under $8 for each seems reasonsble to recoup costs and make profit.

What I want to know is, how can two unrelated characters in the same toy line have the same name? Thunderblast the female Decepticon(that will probably fly off the shelf) and the Mini-con. Parents and gaurdians are confused enough. I don't know how many times I've seen older people in the TF section looking like a deer in the headlights. Now they'll have these two bots to Fu( up their minds.

While I'm on names, I'll let Shockwave fly even though it's one of the must Iconic names around but Skylynx used to have a meaning.

The release of Astortrain doesen't necessarily mean anything is in the pipeline beyond Astrotrain.

Bear in mind, it was planned when the line was canned.  They may be releasing it as 'final farewell' to the line...  in order to simply fulfil what was promised.
