Opinions of Cybertron episode "Fallen"

Recommended Posts

Because I've seen the first two eps of Galaxy Force this did throw me off a bit...however, since they decided to merge the first 2 episodes together I would say that it was a pretty neat idea to have Landmine do a little "Recap".

I was really hoping for a better introduction of Starscream and Megatron though...I wouldn't've killed them to have had something along the lines of:

Prime: "Who are you!?"

Megatron: "What, you don't recognize me, Prime?....I am Megatron!"

Prime: "No!...This ENDS HERE!"

Or something like that. Same goes for Starscream.

As far as trying to fit this into the A/E continuity...I don't think they're doing too good a job at that, which doesn't particularly bother me much, as I've already disregarded those two shows anyway.

Oh, and that alternate voice for Megatron was just odd.

I noticed that Hasbro didn't make as much an effort as with Energon in establishing Cybertron as a continuation. For example, in Energon all characters had to have different names, with the exception of the Mini-cons. That's why we had Downshift instead of Wheeljack. In Cybertron, they don't mind repeating names again like Landmine and Jetfire.

Still, I believe that to some degree, it was originally planned that both GF and Cybertron would have been a continuiation of Energon/SL. This is indicated by Megatron having Unicron-like features. I also don't think that Red alert/First Aid was simply a homage to the Armada version.

Cybertron show is a fake ass continuation on Energon.........And that's a good thing. I completely ignore the fact that they mention Unicron and except everything else that goes on. Outside of the fact that they mention Unicron, this is a translation of GF. And that's good.

It's not a fake continuation, and it's not a 'translation' of GF. Has/Tak planned for both versions alongside each other.

It's not a translation, yet the humans don't know of Transformers and all of thier technology is back to current times basics. There are also no humans living on Cybertron, No energon grids, Megatrons return out of nowhere with no explanation, Landmine's Identity, no Kicker, Starscream's sudden personality change, and on and on. I admit they left some things open but we have t look at this for what it is.

There's no TFs lifing on Cybertron either now. As for the explanations... give them time.

Hasbro is probably relying on the TF's Bios to fill in more of the back-story.

It sucks having to rely on so many different continuities. There's show, the toy bio and the comics.

but then Gonzo refused to do a continuation so Takara agreed to let them do a reset since, hey, it's freaking Gonzo. Hasbro didn't care so long as they got a cartoon in some form.

that's not quite true, as there are a few little hints here and there that GF is in the SL continuity. they are there meerly to serve as enhancing the link between Energon and Cybertron though...

I also noticed the other day while watching Cybertron how Override/Nitro Convoy isn't feminine or masculine looking. it's right square in the middle. I have a feelign Hasbro told Takara in the design phase that they wanted a female character, and eventually they came upon the comprimise that was Nitro Convoy.

Any Examples?

Yeah, square in the middle. besides those broad shoulders, flat burly chest, and a small man ass.

(man, I felt robosexual saying that... *shudders*)

all TFs have a small ass. :P have you ever seen a tf that wasn't huge that had a large ass?

examples.... it's been a while since I've watched GF(I need ot dig up those episodes.), but I know for a fact that the DVD special states it's in the SL continuity(Which we know is bullBlot.), and anamatros and speed planet are supposed to be some of the planets Alpha Q had.

again, these are hints and fannods, just designed to make Hasbro's job a little easier.
