It was G1 Hook's Japanese name, and Energon "Hook"'s in succession.  I think in Kanji (that is the Japanese alphabet used to sound out foreign words, right?  Either that, or Katakana.  I always get them confused), it's supposed to mean "crane", but it always gets mis-romanized as "Glen".

And that is weird because when they released Diaclone, they had 2 toys with the word CRANE on the box. In fact they had 2 TRUCK CRANE figures, one became Grapple and the other became Hook.  :tflaugh

I just call all mine George Foreman. It's easier.

If they cant speak robo-english then they don't deserve to have names. So I guess only Jolt

Me personally I just use whatever color they are, or use a part of their description and attach Bob to it.

 

So for example the space team that turned into the requim blaster is Blue Bob, Black Bob, and White Bob.  The Boats from the sea team are Boat Bob, Maroon Bob, and Big Missile Bob.  And even the ones that come with the big bots like Power Link Prime from armada and the golden Sparkplug is affectionately referred to as Gold Bob.
