Cybertron Moving to a NEW Network

Recommended Posts

so does this mean that we may actually see Cyb- #1 #2 & #3

i am still unclear wether that was a Hasbro decision or a CN decision

i think that was a decision by the people who produce the DVD's. they probably wanted exclusive episodes.

Um... the first episode aired in canada, so it was probably CN being stupid.

You guys make it sounds like the cartoon is great or something, I mean has everyone forgotten all the major problems this cartoon has?  I mean just a few weeks ago so many people were saying how they hated Cybertron and how the voices were terrible...what happened to all of that?

People did the same thing with Armada and Energon, yet they watched.  The only things that bugs me from the one episode I saw are: The voices are kinda stupid and they didn't air episode 1.  If they were to air episode 1 and then go in order, I'll just have to come to accept the weird voices.  From what I understand, Cybertron has been pretty good storywise (regardless of where they started from).

They were pissed it didn't start with Episode 1 and that Jetfire has a crazy accent. I know I liked the episode I've seen so far Accent or not.

For most people like myself it has more to do with the toys then anything. It's fine by me if the cartoon is royally bad, but if the toys are awsome I as well as many other fans, adult or not will buy them. From a marketing perspective that apparently doesn't amount to a lot since the target audience is mostly children who buy based on the show opposed to what the toy actually is. Beast Wars, Rid, and Armada (the first half) all had decent time slots therefore did very well with audiences and sales. Energon or Cybertron isn't that great but at a 4:30 Monday through Friday time slot how can it fail.

I mean this is being aimed at the Pokemon/Yugioh crowd so the anime/horrendous dubbing shouldn't be a big drawback but instead advertise on screen that these are really cool toys and opposed to what the fans of Armada got the first time around. Energon was also infinitely better than Armada in terms of toys but they pretty much bombed because Hasbro barely acknowledged there was a show to begin with. Hopefully now that Hasbro has it's cartoon properly placed they can begin to approach advertising with a more agressive strategy than they had done with Energon. Last year it almost felt like Hasbro just threw in the white flag early and said screw it in terms of marketing there TFs.

In the end it all amounts to better toy sales/better distribution because if nobody wants them besides long time fans/collectors and if a chain store has to sell em at discount prices later anyway what's the point of bringing them in the first place. Right now my Local Walmart has basically said forget it, and aren't bring in anything new except Cybertron Scout classes. Ah will be  :thumb goes to TRU for getting the ball rolling when no other chain had the ambition to do so.

BTW Is Kids WB the same as it is in Canada because 5 nights a week would rock. The story would be able to progress much quicker, and the upcoming Waves could be release sooner. All good by me. :clap

it was the accents that threw me off, and the spoken work in the beginning of the opening song at first, now that its been a few months its grown on me and and others im sure, now i cant wait till it comes on on sat. the show keeps getting better and better with every eps...so now that it will be coming on everyday its christmas time now :clap

that is a better timeslot and maybe kids wb with show the first ep of it

I don't care how bad the show is. I'm jonesin' for some TF TV, and now I can finally get some.
