G1 was on the SciFi channel in the early 90s before G2 came out.

Yeah it was on in the early mornings, I remember getting up and watching the episodes, for some odd reason though they would skip an episode after Friday, don't know if it came on Saturdays as well, but I remember one week watching the first part of FFoD and then come Monday we jumped an episode to Part 3

acutaly it was on even after the G2 show. I remember I was really happy when my family got scifi channel becuase I knew G1 was on their "animation station" line up. And then after about a year they cut it for The New Adventurs of Gigantor, to this day I can't bring my self to watch that show or it's original counter part.

As for why the don't show it anymore? Scfi doesn't do much in the way of animation anymore and I bet Hasbro has given special rights to Cartoon Network and Ytv to be the only people who can show Transformer related stuff.

Well Hasbro might want to rethink those rights to Cartoon network since they are constantly trying to kill the transformers franchise.  And to top it off have cancelled great shows like Justice League.

I had no idea the SciFi channel was that old. I only recently got the channel in my area and just assumed that was when it kicked off.

ANIMATION STATION!!!!  Creepy little aliens with the weird voices saying "Activate" then spinning the toons.

Bionic 6 and TF's!  good morning times!

I remember randomly putting on the scifi channel one day before school and freaking out because Transformers was on and I hadn't seen it since G2 went byebye.  I spent a good half hour with my jaw open.  I taped that frelling animation station every day.  Ahhh, good memories.

Bionic 6; now there is a name I have not heard in years.

I just remembered the annoying little jingle they played between interludes and probably won't get it out of my head all night now.

I second that. I thought it started in like 95 or so
