Coming up with a convoluted story like this seems like kind of a stretch for a guy with 242 transactions and a 99.2% feedback rating.  I guess he could just be trying to compensate for the lacking .8%, but when this was listed, it was his only item for sale.  What's the motive, then?  Astronomically high pity-bids?

I don't see it.  The guy's a bit off, that's certain.  I don't know about dishonest, though.  I wouldn't have bothered coming up with such a long story even if I was guaranteed ten bucks.

$6 shipping for a WST Prime and a Keychain Bumblebee?!?!?!  That's bogus, it shouldn't cost more than $3.85 to ship those.  Shipping gouging pisses me off... :fire

Yeah but these days by the time all is said and done ebay and paypal will rape sellers on fees. I'm sure a lot of sellers on ebay have adjusted their fees to help compensate for that. Sure you can argue that it shouldn't be that much of a big deal for people who deal in high volumes but when I look back at the little bit that I sell each month and then look at what I end up paying ebay at the end of the month, then it hardly seemed worth it to sell my stuff there at all, and that's not even counting the fees that paypal has charged me. I can only imagine what high volume sellers are stuck paying by the end of each month.  :guh

Right there with you. eBay for purchases, End Cap for sales :thumb
