yeah well erm iv never really coloured before but after seeing the guido's auction pages for issue 11 (i think it is) i decided to colour them, well all iv started are the flats but  well here they are, obvously there nowhere near finished heck i only started today but here yah go i just want opinion on colour and such and if anyone knows who the lil bot next to omega is . im gonna chose brawn lol iv been using screen caps from the cartoon as oposed to the other comics for refrence and so i can use the colours, most noticable is kup and red alert

i'll have to ask you if you've asked Guido for permission to color this stuff.

 

Even though thepages are up for auction its still his property. That and its courteous to ask before just going and coloring. chances are he'll say yes but it just shows a certain level of respect.

its really hard to say, hehe. i dont even know how *I* convey mood in some of my colors, its just something that creatively happens >__>

 

though i would encourage you to look that type of stuff up on google or something.you'll find some good stuff to read/learn about it i'm sure

thanks for the tips, so far all im trying is to get everyone exactly the right colour, iv been using screen caps for refrences mainly. never realised colouring was this fun though. i cant wait to start on the prime/trion pages, really make it look run down, lots of purple and grey blue. :)

For creating 'mood', just go with what you feels is intended. The main thing there is lighting. Think carefull about where light is coming from, what it's color is and where it hits (AND where it DOESN'T hit). The rest usualy comes more or less natural I guess, of course it's experience as well as eventually you'll try to see what else you can do with things. :)

 

Small tip, if you want say a night mood, or a moonlight, put a highly transparent blue layer over the normal colors. Same for fire and all (yellow layer). Depends on the color of the light, just experiment with it to see what you get. :)
