Cybertron Hotshot...

Recommended Posts

... well maybe not, but I needed a title to get people to check out my kitbash. I'm not really good at kit bashing and the pics will show it. Anyways, after seeing alot of Hot Shots kit bashed to a Hot Rod color scheme, I thought I'd try my crack at it. I started off with a white coat, then I was gonna go over it with red. Then it hit me, how bout a Jazz color scheme, since it would be easier on me. So I went for that. Then I changed my mind again and just decided to just color it in my own way. Anyways I'm not done coloring it yet, but here are the pics anyways...

I like the version 2 bot mode, but I can't figure a way to have his shield connect to his arm without drilling any holes and also it has an impossible transformation from bot to car mode.

Any Ideas?

WOW! Awsome idea!  :thumb:

If i may make a suggestion... try sevral coats of the white with long brush strokes accross the surface. this will eliminate the "blotchyness" and prevent the darker color beneath from showing thru.

(I used to have the blotchyness problem and this method worked for me).

:)

its getaway...or atleast i think thats his name. you know, the power master.

i have yet to paint with a brush and not have brush marks. i'm not saying it isn't possible, but in my opinion, you need to dismantle and then shoot it. it's a little more work, but will look a lot better.

good job none the less

i want it

I really like that mold. I might buy extras so I can take them out of the box.

Does his waist swivle? If it does then you can still make him transform as for the shield part you could maybe make a clip type connection for it similar to how E. Megs/Galvy`s cannon/sword clipped onto his arm.

You say you're not good at kitbashing, but that's a damn good job.  I dont think  any of us were very good when we first started.  My only critique is to next time maybe try using spray paint instead of a brush, but still man, great job.

thanks alot guys for the comments, what's funny is that I am not using a brush, I'm using Gundam Markers, I am to cheap to go out and buy some paint, better than white out though :tflaugh His waist does not swivle, don't really have the tools and skills to to make that happen. I can't really find any way of having the 2nd version of bot mode go to his alt mode without any unscrewing.
