Okay, that makes much more sense to me than the grey.  Nice job there :)

 

I do think the Skids head actually works for this.

 

One thing to note.  If Alts are all supposed to be colors that the real cars come in, well I do not believe the xB comes in normal red.  More like a dark red.

First off, Good job!! But you know what I want to see and hope it comes true? Blaster as a red mustang mold or slight remold to a Cobra. To top it off it Hasbro feels lazy, forget swerve w/no visor, Grimlock's head look's just like Blaster, little ears and all. Use the same head, paint the forhead silver, keep the visor but make it clear so you can see his blue eyes and give em a mouth. Blaster Was thin with broad shoulders and big legs.
