Could GF/Cybertron Soundwave be G1 Soundwave?

Recommended Posts

watch episode 33 of GF they cleary make a link "sothing like galaxy convoys matrix distoryed a gr8 evil" well it can only be G1 Rodimus primes matrix and the distruction of unicron

also they dont say thier in the same universe but what happend in G1 made the Gand Black Hole happen in thier universe as a result of the now scewed up balance. also time line wase it makes sence TF:TM was set in 2005 and so its GF so both events happend about the same time

so IMO thier is a link between G1 and GF 2 different dimentions(sp?) but what happened in 1 effected the other with the G1 guys not knowing.

as for the fanfic stuff if hasbro sells them the licence and give the story the ok then IMO its cannon so IMO the 3h is now cannon

Nice speculation there. Though in the dub they'd blame it on Enercron :redface

But yeah, something in another dimension, or at least in the past, done that. Obviously the red is Primus and the blue is(was) Uni. Another idea was that those are the energies that created Primus & Unicron in all dimensions/universes/continuities/whatever, and instead of creating Uni in this universe, the dark half collapsed into the black hole.

Just for a little more fun, I'll add in my opinion. :P I also agree that the 3H comics were official. They were produced under a direct license from Hasbro, which to me is enough to satisfy an official status. Here's the way it is folks, like it or not. It doesn't matter what other people hold as their opinion. They are entitled to it, just as you are entitled yours. You can have your own Transformers Universe. Want G1, RID, BW, Cybertron to all be connected? Fine. That's your deal. You want them all separate? Once again, fine. It's your hobby, just as it's my hobby. I'll look at it my way. You look at it your way. We can all co-exist. Let's quit with all the bitchin and belly-aching about other people's opinions. Transformers aren't real, no matter how obsessed with them we may become.

NO!

For christ's sake, you people are determined to make a connection between cartoons, no matter what, aren't you? Can you not see that you are reaching here? even when the official authoroties on this literally say "No, the series take place in seperate universes" you STILL insist on making relations! It's unbelievable. It's infathomable. It's ludacris. It's idiotic. How many more synonyms do you people need before I have made myself clear?

It's quite simple. Hasbro and TakaTomy are both toy-corparations. They are involved in the story of the line only in producing the toys, and in laying out general outlines for the story. Everything else is for the writers. Therefor, their public statements will not have in-depth reviews of each small detail from every single scene of the cartoon. I sincerely hope you get that, because if you don't, all hope is lost for you. (Blame that last part on the Gilmore Girls Marathon I;ve been running for the last 4 days. I'm starting to develop a sense of humor quite similar to Lorelai Gilmore. And a similar speech-pattern, but that is not the point)

So, when they say "This takes place in a new Universe", they mean "There is no connection whatsoever, none at all, nothing, really not, I'm serious, really nothing at all, NO connection between what we did before and what we do now". They don't mean "There is a secret passage between this reality and what we created before, just big enough for one creature to fit through, and just in existence long enough to allow one creature to pass, and it just happened that on that moment it was in existance, just by chance, one Transformer just happened to be on that spot, and was transplanted from that series to this new one". They don't mean "When the Beast Wars happened, reality was altered, there was never a Great War, there were no huge fights on Earth, humans never became aware of the existance of the Transformers, and then RiD happened". They don't mean "While we said this took place in a different universe, we secretly meant that it is taking place in a different universe, with different characters, with different people, with different autobots and Decepticons which look only vaguely reminiscent to their G1 counterparts, who do not act at all in the same manner, but where only really small details, that no sane person would ever notice, may or may not indicate that there may have been some sort of contact between this universe and the G1 Universe."

PLEASE! Why is it SO hard to accept that these storylines have no connection with eachother? Please answer me, because I am flabbergasted at this. I really cannot understand why you (speaking in general, ofcourse, this is not a personal attack at the person who said this, I cannnot even remember his name, and right now I'm already so far in my rant that I cannot see his or her name anymore, and I'm too riled up to pauze and scroll up to look it up) cannot accept that these realities coexist with eachother, without any contact with eachother. Why must all these realities have to have some sort of contact? Why can it not just be simply the G1 Universe, the Rid Universe, and the A/E/C-verse? Why do you insist in some sort of Crisis on Multiple Cybertrons? Please, answer me!

(And might I suggest a new post, not a quote, because methinks this one is getting a bit too long)

I laughed my ass off as I read the 3rd paragraph.  Seriously, you're making a lot of sense here.  I do not understand why people need to make 'connections' to everything.  I'll admit, at one time I was 'amazed' at trying to figure out how to connect everything, to see if there was anything that could be used as an excuse to do so.  But I think it's better off if everything is left as it is.  We have the G1verse, the RIDverse, and the A-E-C-verse.  There's no point in trying to connect everything because it'd be too much of a headache if you tried.

CAMEO and HOMAGE, know what they mean.

But of course, if you do want to try and connect everything to make one "Megaverse of all Transformers shows", by all means, do it.  You'll be the one with the headache, not me. : :tftongue  :tftongue

Actually, the TFCC connected all of the TF universes together single-handedly with a past comic(it even showed Cybertrons from all of the different universes/dimensions). So it's not just fan speculation, it's official. KTHXBAI :wave

OTFCC comics are fanfiction, as are all the novels. Want proof? One of the novels in Transformers: Legends has a story featuring Ransack Dunerunner, the Minicons,  Laserbeak watching a message made by BW Rhinox. (And don't come talking to me with "transplanted writings"-theories or something, this was Beast Wars and Armada, which makes no sense whatsoever. I read it, and I am an English student, so I am quite good at reading, I know what I am talking about here. Though I am saying nothing about the quality of the stories in that novel(Which is actually very good, and some stories are particularly interesting since they give an interesting perspective on a certain character(I am talking about the story Singularity Ablyss here), and I should recommend the novel to everyone), or in any of the written fiction, one thing is certain: it is ALL fanfiction. Yes, even Dreamwave's stories, fun as they are. I can give a whole list of reasons why Dreamwave's stories should be considered fanfiction, but that is an entirely different topic, and not really the point here, anyhow. My case still stands: TF Universes are seperate, and should not be forced to be combined into one single TF-verse.

(PS: I have some of the 3H comics, and fun as they are, stilll fanfiction)

Look, I understand some of you have this hard on for hating all things G1, or going into a Starscream fit because someone speculated on making some sort of connection to G1, or any other TF universe, but you really need to get a hug.

I started this topic on what has been shown on Cybertron, and what is going to be shown. I didn't say there was a definite connection, or that one would be made, or I want one to be made. I, like the rest of you, don't know the full story yet.

If there's no connection, then fine, oh well, the writers took a different approach and all those cameos where just fanwanks. If there is, then hey great, it's cool that they would try to resolve the billions of TF universes.

No need to go into rants about it, Jesus....

Ok well all those who beleive in the conection between G1, and Armagonitron will love this story by myself and Professor Wheeljack(Masterminicon). It connects the G1 universe to the new shows seamlessly through the Armagonitron characters being the children of the G1 characters. Here`s the link http://thetransmatrix.clicdev.com/f/index.php?showtopic=72 The Alts/reconstructed G1 characters are rebuilt occationally through the story to keep up with the new models through the years. It starts in the year 2008 and goes through I`d say around the year 2030 something.

No offense, but you should read my posts. I most definitely expressed the fact that I love G1. I don't hate it at all. I have various toys from a G1 origin. I have almost all the Dreamwave comics, including G1, War Within and Micromasters, all revolving around the very first incarnation of Transformers. I most definitely do NOT hate G1.

However, that does not mean I have to compare every new series of Transformers to G1. That does not mean that every similarity, accidental or not, should be intensily scrutinized and examined under a microscope, to search for only the slightest hint of an atom of G1. I take each new incarnation for itself, taking it as it is, without trying to change it into something else. That is all. GF Soundwave is GF Soundwave. It is not G1 Soundwave, just as GF Exhilion is not G1 Hot Rod, or how GF First Aid is not G1 Red alert. Each character is itself, and does not have to be forced into something it is clearly not. That is all I am saying. Galaxy Force doesn't need to be anything else besides Galaxy Force. It does not need to be G1, nor should it be Beast Wars, or Armada. All it needs to be is to be Galaxy Force, and nothing else. Just accept that, and stop wishing for it to be something else.

And I get enough hugs from my blankey, thank you very much.

*Sigh*

And you should read my posts. I know you said you didn't hate, but you're the one crying about us making a connection.

I wasn't comparing. I'm not trying to shoehorn GF/Cybertron into G1. I'm not examining everything under a microscope. There have been some pretty significant scenes showing G1 characters, and even a G1 Soundwave. We even get a character called SW, that looks like a HUGE homage to him, Lazerbeak and all. Fanwank? Probably. Like I said, none of us know the full story behind GF/Cybertron. I'm simply going on what we've seen and know so far. Could it be connected? Maybe, maybe not. If it is, cool and it'll be even better for the G1 lovers, if it's not, then oh well, GF is still a great show (don't know about Cybertron yet) and they stand alone. I'm not wishing for anything and neither is anyone else.

Get off your high horse.

Sorry to insist, but where can I see that GF pic of the four original Prime?

Sorry to insist, but where can I see that GF pic of the four original Prime?

It was in GF33 and an earlier news post... sorry that I don't have it off hand.
