Generation 3 Autobots (mark2)

To answer in order, Limabean:

I prefer the slimmer look of the cartoon prime. Don't know why, but my models always end up fairly thin. There are 'bots that will be all bulk, but I haven't really touched on them yet.

I say this with all modestly, but four 'A's.

Gruff:

I use a 3D design program rather than an 'arty' 3D program. It's called Prodesktop, and was marketed by PTC. (I really must upgrade it to ProEngineer, of which 'desktop is a cut down version. I need the better rendering components.) Other people use Truespace, Max, Maya etc. Heck, there are hundreds of these things! As far as free packages go, there are a few avaliable, at least as demos or cut down versions, but Maya at least put an ugly watermark over the images produced by said cut-down packages. I must admit, though, that I've never really researched 3D programs.

Everyone else: Thanks for the comments!

The Battledeck's up. Not much changed, but I was quite happy with it before.  :thumb

how come you wanted them to look like action masters. cause thats what they seem to be shaped as. no offense, but tf's should not look like popsicle sticks. They should be bulky, yo know, with a tough look.

Beautiful!  :thumb For some odd reason, fan creations are more exciting than official products. So, keep them coming!  :clap BTW, where can I get more info on your fics? I am curious about your Generation 3. Thannks for sharing!

steppter no longer a targetmasters?

kishimus maximus:

You going to tell him that?

HEADMASTER:

Correction: SOME Tfs are all bulky and tough looking. Those that turn into tanks, into cities, into armoured vehicles, into tapedecks, into (some) animals, yes, they are as wide as they are tall and so on. But the sports cars, the jets? They're built for speed and sleath. In fact, the cars built to Jazz's specs (ie Prowl, Bluestreak, Stepper, Smokescreen) are actually described as not being very good at all out warfare. They aren't vast powerhouses. They're speedsters. As for Prime, I personally can't really see the problems with his proportions. They're pretty much those of the cartoon Prime.

Trust me, I will get to the powerhouses: Fort Max, Scorponok, Metroplex...and a few surprises.  :thumb

Fan creations aren't constrained by such things as money or practicality  :tftongue

And here's an official type link to the G3 story: G3

noriko:

In the G3 timeline, he never was one. Don't worry though: Maximus, Getaway, Scorponok, Wierdwolf and friends will still retain their partners.

Thanks!

Your work pisses me off. Why? For somebody who doesn't work with Hasbro in designing Transformers and such, your designs are lightyears ahead of theirs. Why won't they employ people like you or VP instead of some no-talent ass-clowns that are working at Hasbro/Takara right now? Why?

Oh, be fair. They do turn out some gems. It's just that the real clangers are the ones that stick in the mind.

Anyway, here's Sideswipe:

Red alert, Tigertracks et al coming soon, plus Sunstreaker by natural succession. Oh, and a Decepticon by the name of Carjack... All will be revealled!

Enjoy!
