You know, back in St Olaf....

My Walmart has stopped carrying those shelving units. I'm lamenting because they were darn cheap.

I need more of them too. This does not bode well.

About 30% of G1 is from my childhood. I then began hitting the vintage Star Wars in a big way in my teens. I managed to complete the collection, including some super rare crap, (Red Cape Bib Fortuna anyone?) and then decided to sell most of it. I continued to collect TFs but it was usually just one or two new ones each three months (bought at toy shows). I refused to use the internet.

I didn't buy anything in the G2-BM era fpr lack of interest. I started again with RiD. It wasn't until about 2 years ago that I was hanging out with my friend John (Alyosha) and I was looking at his simply amazing GIJoe collection. He pulls out his need list. Its a handful of figures and a few parts. It filled a page give or take, well spread out. Basically he was almost done. I imagined what my list looked like and it was gross. I was missing what everyone else was missing, 1988-90 (sorry, UScentric). I decided that toy shows weren't going to do it and I was going to have to use eBay and stores after all. I had zero Action Masters, so I decided that was first. By using a tiny bit of eBay, four seperate websites, and about $300, I finished it in about two weeks.

I've been working at it the same way ever since. Now that I'm pretty much done with the US, having just today recieved the last part I need (Pretender Grimlock's helmet) its on to Japan and those wacky EU Action Masters.

I've got some updates coming, probably tomorrow. I redid the 1987-88 Con shelf, got a G1 Soundblaster, and the completely awesome Neca Balrog, which has to be seen. It makes Fort Max look like a Beastbox.

That's the most pink-free Wildfly shell i ever seen before! Jealous!

Where are those Japanese Cassettes? Which shelf? :tflaugh

I keep them in a drawer until I have a good spot for them.

My Wildfly shelf has pink spots on the bottoms of his feet. Hey, if they have to be there, they might as well be there.
