an idea for a masterpiece style tigerhawk

Recommended Posts

this is just my thoughts on the matter but i always thought that the bw tigerhawk figure had more potential to it that hasbro left untapped for various reasons when it comes to what they could have done to make it a more accurate figure that at best could have matched up 90-93 percent to the character model they used for him on the show.

this is how it could be done.

head

the visor could be left optinal or it could be removed from the face all together

chest

the nubs on the rear feet which fold up to become the sides of the chest could be sanded down good and flat

shoulders

the targeting falcon helmet built into the left arm could be removed from the folding pin all together and ditch the folding pin from the lower left arm then just fill it in with sculpey. while the sides of the helmet could be sliced down somewhat and permantly built into the back of the tiger head as a sort of main making it so the lower left arm could move  freely in all directions at the elbow joint.

the right shoulder could be altered so that its more streamlined and the whole spark cannister gimmick removedwith the seat like part being molded into the right shoulder round side faceing out so that it serves as the sparkchamber itself.

lower arms the left and  right lower arm could be swapped out for a set of matching left arms minus the hands

hands

the hands could be replaced using the hands off of transquito sincethey are open palmed hands on that figure and the new hands could mesh well with tigerhawk with a bit of a sculpy remold job and some epoxy glue to build them onto the new lower arms and to flesh the lower arms out better. to give him the dual laser cannons mounted on his right hand and the dual claw mounted on the left hand just salvage the weaponry from the right hands of both figures slice the cannons off 1 and mold it onto the left hand and mold the entire dual laser cannon piece salvaged from the other old hand onto the new right hand

inner wings

the rotating piece that the missile launchers are built onto could instead be modified so the entire inner wing assembly rotates on it instead whil the missile launchers could still fold out from under the inner wings.

outer wings

the outer wings could be lengthend using some extra parts for mt he same figure or from universe rasorclaw. a little cutting here and there and some sculpey and epoxy glue to make them fit right and it would work fine.

feather missiles

the feather missiles would have to be flattened out at the tip and remolded at the end where the feather itself lockes into the outer wing missile launcher thereby removing the gap between the feather missile and the outer wing itself

crotch tail feather  assembly

the tail assembly would have to be cut down a little on the sides of it where the white parts of the loin cloth keep the upper legs from having a better set of movement through there.

upper legs

the nubs on the top front and back of the hips need ot be sanded down flat to give the figure better movement through there

lower legs

where the feet fold into the lower legs.

they need to  be remolded a little through there so that the robot feet fold flush and smooth into the lwer legs

back of lower legs armor

they need to be remolded so that they fold up with the back of the upper legs without there being any huge gape between the 2.

feet

the inside ofthe feet need to be filled in so that the clawed anklepiecefold in good and flush with it in beasst mode

and that trigger on the guys back need to be removed completely and thegap filled in

give the guy a show accurate paint job and your all set.

maybe even mold over  the tiger strips on the cat head using sculpey so you know where tehy are when you go to paint them back on and it would also give hm something of a scarred battle hardened look as well.
