GF Planets: Who went where?

Recommended Posts

For those who haven't seen it yet, this thread speaks about the spoiler revealed in the News Forum. If you do not wish to be spoilered, do not continue reading.

We have seen the 4 G1 Autobots each taking a Force Chip, and go their seperate ways. Each went to a planet, with I presume a number of followes, and evelved there to the creatures we see now. What I wonder, who of each of the four went where?

We have Optimus Prime, Rodimus Prime, Ultra Magnus, and Jazz. Who went to wich planet?

Personally, I take it that Optimus stayed at Cybertron, where his descendants eventually evolved and led to Galaxy Convoy. This would explain the Likeness of Galaxy Convoy to Optimus Prime (:P) And the fact that GC has a Matrix.

Rodimus Prime, I believe, definitely went to Speedia. Being a Hot Rod, he would love to race and show off, and I don't see him on any of the other planets. Plus, his design fits the planet.

Jazz, I think might have gone to Earth. But, that is mostly based on his G1 appearance, and the fact that he has the most realistic alt-mode.

That leaves Ultra Magnus, but I cannot really see him, or his descendants, taking the form of beasts. I don't think that would suit him at all. If anything, Ultra Magnus would take Planet Gear (Giant), where his descendants would evolve to grow massive. Also because Magnus himself is already rather big.

But, according to this, that would leave Animatros uninhabited, and we clearly can see that is not the case. So, what would you think? Who went where?

There are five Planet Force planets, but only four G1 Transformers.

Cybertron, I believe, would have been left alone, since Primus itself sleeps there. Let's assume Primus is the Ancient for Cybertron.

Hot Rod I agree would go to Speedia.

Jazz's love of Earth culture seems to place him there. Also, Autovolt has a bit of a Jazz-y feel to him, so let's say Jazz for Earth.

Ultra Magnus would likely go to the planet of Gears, as you said, since he's a giant himself. Is it possible Gears is a very small planet or series of planets, thus allowing for gigantic growth due to lower gravity? Another discussion, perhaps...

That means Prime must have gone to Animatros. But that doesn't quite seem to fit, and neither does Animatros' culture. Contrast 'Freedom is the right of all sentient beings' with 'The strongest survive'. Though not mutually exclusive, I can't see Prime subverting his own ways like that.

So maybe Cybertron wasn't left alone, maybe Prime did stay there. Then who went to Animatros? Since we don't yet have a reason for why the Ancients did what they did, is it possible that one of the five planet force was stolen by a Destron who went there? That would explain Flame Convoy being a Destron, and also the survivalist take on that world.

Sounds reasonable.  Over at the Transmatrix, some of the people think that it was actually Grimlock and not Jazz, and that he went to Animatros, Hot Rod went to Speedia, Ultra Magnus went to Giant, and Prime went to Earth.

Either Grimlock, or a Destron, would be more fitting for Animatros. The Animatronian outlook on life is so defferent from the normal Autobot/Cybertronian mindset, it would make more sense to have one of these to have settled there.

Actually, the size of the planet doesn't have that much to do with how large a being can become. Even here on Earth we had our giants, in the form of Dinosaurs. It has more to do with a group of creatures an enviroment they prosper in, and adapting their body to become even better at surviving in that enviroment. The Enviroment of Speedia is fast, so the TFs there changed their body to become faster and faster, since that was what everyone was aiming for. Animatros is about Strenght, so everyone there evolved to develop their Strenght. Gear's enviroment somehow made its inhabitants feeling the need to grow to enormous sizes, but what could spark such a thing, I cannot fathom.

Unless... unless the inhabitants somehow connected status with size. The bigger you are, the more stature you have, and the more important you are. That would allow for the inhabitants of Gear to want to grow evermore larger, and it would explain the Brainmaster-esque Decepticon-Transformer that has been revealed to be one of the 3 Gear TFs released in the Cybertron-line. It would be a TF with a normal body, but because he is so small compared to the rest of the Gear-TFs, he has no social stature, and is second, or even thrid-class. Because of this, he made himself a new, larger body, to show he is no second-class citizen. And because of resentment towards his Leader/Convoy, he opposes him and joins the Decepticons in their quest for domination.

IF G1 Prime stay on Earth Where is he on Earth ? What will happen when Cybertron Prime meet G1 Prime ?

Based on that single screen cap I'd have to say it can't be Grimlock. He's way too short and he doesn't have his wings.  If you zoom in enough and squint, it looks more like Jazz.

Though it could be Pretender Grimlock without his shell  :schin

However I think if it were Optimus, Magnus, Jazz and Rodimus then Optimus would've ended up on the gear planet, and Magnus on Animatros.

Magnus is more or less a strong soldier, but a weak leader, setting it so a Destron could come in and take over, setting up the "Strongest survive" ethos.

Also, I don't think they'll ever meet the ancestors. I've got the feeling that they are leaders of the long forgotten past, almost mythical. Somewhat like a cybertronian "King Arthur", something that memory has forgotten so myth invents.

All based ona single small blurry screen cap  :roll

What about the "Carnage in C-Minor" planet? :tflaugh

I would like some intelligent conversation in this thread, Diddly Jack. Those kinds of posts would befit INH, but not TFGD.

And, yes, I agree with the statemensentiment that these "Original" Transformers will not meet with the present TFs. It is nothing more thean a nudge to the fans, similar to how G1 Jetfire and Rhinox appeared in Armada.

Who says they even stayed on the planets they went to? Couldn`t it be possible that they went there to hide the Cyber Planet Keys or to put them in the possession of beings who would watch over them until they were needed once more? So if that`s the case then the placing of the Cyber Planet Keys could have happened before Optimus and his crew left Cybertron in the Arc and crashed here on earth only to reawaken and start fighting the Decepticons again.

But that is G1 continuity, not GF Continuity. Don't mix the 2 up.
