Never having owned Galvy before, this makes my wallet happy. I don't have to worry about e-Hobby releaing an anime version.

Although it would be funny if they ended up releasing an original colored version.

Less than a day after Takara made the Galvatron reissue official, Fan2Fan is now reporting that similar to TFC #10 Starscream, Galvatron will be reissued in his anime colors! In addition he will also have the bonus of a Matrix necklace and a remolded face! Head on over to FanToFan.jp for more info and picture

Starscream is #9 BTW...

:P

I mean.... just look at the picture of Galvatron in TF:TM..... then look at that anime-accurate toy.... you don't have to be a brain surgeon to figure out that it's not the same color. He's not flippin' Shockwave.

AAARRGGGHH so close and yet so far...

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

I don't think the color matters that much

The toy doesn't even look like the show incarnation...

If anything Takara should do a Masterpiece Galvatron that actualy LOOKS like the character in the show...

I would only buy a Masterpiece Galvatron too but these news are good for G1 fans :thumb

what is this about voices? He talks? Mine original had a battery but it was long since dead.

Also looks like the gun barrel isn't translucent anymore.

looks like i'll be getting a proper enemy for my star convoy reissue :clap

I guess he is a useful counterpart in that respect how close to the same height are they?

I could never figure out why the other leader figure toy in TFTM was a midget :roll

He talks in japanese

that alone makes me curious

He could say "GALVUTRION, MEGAAAAH FIYYAAH ATTAKUU!!!"

which then would make me want to buy him...

I assume this is was so more kids could afford to buy Rodimus Prime back then - who was probably thought to be the more "desirable" figure at the time.  Galvy was relatively expensive in 1986 (if I remember correctly, Rodimus was ~$25 in 1986, while Galvy was in the $35 range, which translates to ~$43 and ~$60 in 2005 dollars, respectively).

any idea where i cud pre order this for delivery to uk?

Meh, still the same stiffm goofy looking mold. Look at how tiny his forearms are.

It's G1. What do you expect? If you don't like it, don't buy it.
