I was in Toys R Us B&M (Brick & Mortar) yesterday, and saw signs saying "30% off of Green Tagged Items".  Even though the G1 TFs have red tags, I scanned a couple anyway.  I saw they were coming up 30% off, so I bought the last Thundercracker for $14.

Also, some PS2 and GC games are 30% off as well.  R-Type Final would be $7 and has good reviews: http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/ps2/review/915108.html .  Same with Maximo http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/ps2/review/374451.html .

That's all I can remember.

Not sure if this is a YMMV (Your Mileage May Vary) deal, can anyone else confirm?

I've been picking some up a bit at a time like that for a few weeks now, including a Tracks (that mysteriously found its way out onto the shelf after not being there for months) for $3.48 :boogie  Too bad Ricochet's still $35 :tfmad

$3.50 for Tracks is awesome!  The best price I've seen is around $8 for Grapple and Hoist, at 2 different TRUs.  (one each.)  Most of them are sitting at around $12 to $15 still, with the jets at $20 or so. :tfsad

Like it matters to me anyway, I bought them all as they were released, at full price.  :redface

I got about five of them for an average of about $10 each.  I skipped the ones I'd gotten during G2 (such as Inferno) since I'm trying to minimalize new purchases.

But I want Ricochet... but for no more than half price.  :P

Every time someone says there's a sale at TRU on this board, I go there. and Alas they NEVER have TF on sale.  :redface

Who did you try to scan?  Ricochet will NOT come up as being on sale since it was never discounted to begin with.

Also, if you have the cashier do a price check, they have to hit some sort of "Final Sale" button to see the discounted price.  It will show up as being full price at first until they hit that button.  Unless you're just using the self-scanner.

Blast, I don't think mine has a price scanner... Never seen any re-issues less than $10 except for Tracks and he was like 9.99. They even still have the Armada role play weapons going for like $9 over there. Its crazy. I'll look again this weekend. One of these days they will have a sale, I know it.

My TRU has been sold out of reissues for a while now. :tfmad

Why isnt Riccochet being discounted???

Why in the world did ANYONE think he was worth $35??  Ever?

That's because all these "sales" are area specific.

Each brick and mortar discounts what they feel they must to unload specific items. This is why people should stop posting about TF sales at their TRUs/Targets/Walmarts, etc...or save it for the "Sightings" forum.
