Well, if you need justification for a less realistic scheme, might as well go for the Martini.

Sorry for being harsh, but pearl white is still white and not silver. :roll

I apologize for sounding rude, but that's my point of view.

I just want the decal. If u can tell me where or how i can get the decal, that would be nice. At least it's a real decal on a real RX-8 rather than Martini. It's U who doesnt get my point.

:tfhuh

Should have gotten rid of the word 'Realistic' out of the title then.

Or you can use 'kinda realistic' or 'semi realistic'.  But 'realistic' it is not.

*sniff sniff*

Smells like internet drama in here.

Somebody light a match.

DendrakeDarkenz: I agree, those decals on a white RX8 would be ideal....good spotting. Would you want to try them on a red RX8 as well?

Indeed.

If you've seen enough of my posts, you're probably used to how Outback I'm about realism. If there was no mention of 'realistic' in this thread, I definitely wouldn't have any problems with this project.

BTW, I think by his logic the Martini Decals would indeed consider realistic on a RX-8.  It was a real decal on a real car at one point in time.

DendrakeDarkenz just wants to have a white RX8 with those decals. How is that in ANY WAY un-realistic? Heck in the first picture I almost thought it WAS white. Besides with the amount of customization/alteration/pimping done to cars these days just about ANY car would be "realistic and in disguise".

In the meantime everyone should try and remain:

Stripes are on a silver car, not a white one.  Heck, it was the thread starter that wanted a 'realistic' RX-8.

Why stop half way??

I guess 'semi realistic' is good enough then.

DendrakeDarkenz disagrees with you:

Well can still use the decal on a white RX-8... at least its more realistic then the "MARTINI" RX-8...

*follows Kenny Rogers advice*

I would have to point out there's a bit of a difference in using a current RX-8 racestripe scheme on an RX-8 with a slightly different body-color than the example and adding 1980s Martini Porshe stripes on an RX-8.  Unless there's something quintessential and iconic about Kumho/RX-8's choice in colors on that example, I'd say a white version would 'realistically' fit right in.

And if we want to be sticklers for realism, why stop half-way, indeed;  The execs of the car companies involved had a hissy-fit over how the part separation lines detract from the realism of being 'unbroken' scale model cars. *That's* how you do it all the way. :P

Maybe that's why we've so very few 'front end splitting" alts/bts.
