Galaxy Force Master Megatron= dissapointment!

My main beef w/ this guy is that it's painfully obvious he was designed in bot mode first.  His car and jet modes are both contrivances at best - he doesn't really look like he's supposed be either one, but he looks perfectly natural in bot mode.  That tells me they figured out his alt modes after his bot mode, which ruins the key aspect of TFs for me: "How are they gonna make a robot out of that alt mode??"

I have had c/Megs for a while, apart from a small molding error on his nosecone piece

It has no problems at all , I have also just bought 'MINI MEGS" and I can't beleve

just how COOL he is!  :clap

He'sw far easyer to transform than 'MINI PRIME' and well detailed to!  :eek

He may not have a jet mode but I smell one only a small kitbash away  :roll

I think most of the Transformers: Cybertron line figures are robot engineered first, alt mode second. For example, Megatron, Scourge, Optimus Prime, and Vector Prime look great as robots, but their alt modes are more like an afterthought more than anything else.

^ 2nd that

i'll be waiting for galvatron and skipping megs, unless he goes on clearance.  i love galvy's batmobile look, it goes great with v.p.'s star wars alt mode and that little wolverine guy.

come to think of it, does anyone else see a lot of ideas clipped from "outside sources" in cybertron?

Felt that Energon had more hommages with Cruellock and Doomlock looking like Godzilla (well the US version which is not a real Godzilla), Signal Flare and Offshoot looking like the maser tank. Not to mention Snow Cat and Megazord Prime.

Even Wing Saber would not look too bad on a Power Rangers show.  :tftongue

I am going to hold out until Galvi...

But i am liking this Mold for a Megatron...I also like that TFs are clipping ideas and styles from other series....

But i am also annoyed that Energeon Irinhide's designe wasnt so much a fluke as it was a trend.. I thnk Nearly EVERY Cybertron figure i have has Head-in-alt-mode issues.... NOT as Bad as E-IH but... geesh...

Hunter

Going for the Galvatron coloring of him, but have I will.

all of this is making me have second thoughts on buying him. :grr
