Minibots or Soundwave?

Recommended Posts

Got to go with Soundwave too.

I take it this is the Takara re-issue? i saw the box in London's Forbidden Planet sci-fi store - and oh man despite the Japanese writing (which i can't read), the pack is a thing of beauty. The figure has gotta be totally kick-ass cos remember he's a major player in the G1 series - and his transform into a casette deck rocks.

Soundwave. From what I've heard, the tape deck can now hold 2 cassettes, so you might want to try to grab some other cassettes on ebay if you can too. A lot more play value than a few minicars.

mine only holds one tape and its the reissue. The buttons on the front are way are different then the original too. i compared side by side

Soundwave, I don't have him but hopefully I will soon

I believe Ben Yee reported that the reissue can hold 2 tapes, because they redesigned the buttons. Maybe I read it wrong. Sorry.

But still, Soundwave over the Minibots

yep I went with soundwave as well, bought him for 42 off ebay along with Megs and Optimus, I went with the most popular and harder to find reissues (read expensive) first I'll get the more common ones later when I can save up more money.

Op, Megs, and Soundwave? I wish I had enough money to buy them all at once

I think i was in Forbidden Planet London store when i say a bunch of Takara re-issues. They had soundwave and he was going for a retail price of arund £50-70 ($90-127). Can't remember precisely. Megatron was even more expensive. i think he was around £70 or above.

In Britian it's always harder to get transformers. We can get *some* Hasbro re-issuses (and they're sloew to release) for a cheap price, but the Takara's are way more expensive and hard to come by.

cost me 213.78 I believe with shipping and everything for the 3 of them off e-bay. I didn't know bigbadtoystore sold them but I think I got them cheaper than BBT sells them for, I'll have to check again.
