I think that Soundwave should be stuck in his Cybertronian alt-mode.  That alt-mode should be something similar to a cassette recorder in form, but not an actual cassette player.

I like the stealth bomber idea. It really fits the military versus peace lovers scenario.

A stealth bomber that triple changes into a satalite.

I'd rather he just be a chopper like Dreamworks wants. :bored

My honest opinion is that Bay is going to scrap the idea of soundwave in the movie.  I mean fanboys are going to give crap about whichever soundwave he decides to do.

I remember a while back seeing a comment that DM had made on his board about how none of us had guessed what Soundwave's alt mode was going to be yet. And then when I saw the pictures of GF Soundwave, a thought occurred to me -- what if Soundwave will be a jet just like the other Decepticons (most of them anyway)?

A jet I can forgive.... I think.....  :tfmad

that kinda makes sense, but remember hasbro really want soundwave to be able to eject ravage later on as well

He can have a minijet like the Cobra's Night Raven that can look like part of the plane alas Breast Force.

Or he could be a tank (like in Machine Wars) or rather an armored vehicle and have a compartment to transport his "ex-cassettes". Something like this beauty I bought off a discount store. [see attachment]

I'm not normally one to propose theories like this, but I'd like to know what everyone thinks of this possiblity.

We have heard two facts concerning the upcoming live-action movie.

1 - At some point a Transformer will die in the film

2 - Hasbro has requested that at some point in the film, Soundwave appears as a small recording device.

My theory is this: What if Soundwave is the one to die, but before he goes he manages to download his mind into something like an iPod?  This would leave great room for a sequel, without compromising a fan-favorite character (i.e. he can come back later) and it satisfies all of the criteria that Hasbro and the production staff have been negotiating.

Am I whack?  Or onto a possibility?

it is a pretty good idea. But a sequel would be more anticipated with the rebirth of a leader. Ex. Megatron die, but is not really dead. That would be cool is soundwave did do sumthing like that though. I just think they wouldnt make a sequel based on soundwave.

more like the film ends with starscream taking control and the sequal, megatron's return and puts him back in place (i really hope not as galvatron)

I think Hasbro want's soundwave to change into a device that can dispatch minions. Want would be fun is if you see Soundwave working on a device that can shrink matter at will and Have Megatron scolding him," What use would we have for suck a device?!" Then latter on in the movie you have soundwave shooting out drone minion after minion that enlarge upon ejecting. He should ofcourse have his elite warriors as well as the drones. But imagine an army of Rumble clones destroying the city.
