hmmm your digi-bash reminds me of this custom soundwave based off of 20th anni prime

Wow.... I had forgotten about that one. That's simply incredible.

I remember a while back seeing a comment that DM had made on his board about how none of us had guessed what Soundwave's alt mode was going to be yet. And then when I saw the pictures of GF Soundwave, a thought occurred to me -- what if Soundwave will be a jet just like the other Decepticons (most of them anyway)?

 

Specifically, what if he's either a stealth bomber or a spy plane (like the U-2 or something)? Megatron's gonna be a tank, so why not? It would certainly fit his persona and role, and would also stay with the "Decepticons are military vehicles" theme. What do you guys think?

Then maybe Ravage could be a bomb, similar to the way the casettes were grenades in "Transformer/GI Joe"--the WWII one.

I thought DM said that no one really "cared" about anything except that Hasbro was pushing that soundwave be a musical device!?

Hasbro is pushing for GeeWun-accuracy all over the place (except in the case of Megatron, for obvious reasons). That's their role in this process -- protecting the franchise. Dreamworks are on the other side of the fence, wanting to "reinvent" it and everything.

 

But my point, though, is that a U-2 spy plane is a *communications* device, which is really what Soundwave was. You never saw him rocking out in Decepticon HQ or anything, the way Blaster and Jazz did.
