This happens to me a lot. People will start talking about Transformers, but the vast majority of the people who know me, don't know that I am into Transformers, so its like they are just BSing their own friends. Except people start saying some crap and I am like... um... no. And they try to argue with me like I am their dumb friends. The only time I ever get recognised is when I give out my email address to people and they are like "woah I've been to that site!" Yea but still I just want to kick the crap out of people like that.

 

Oh and I hate it when non-fans try to argue canon to me. WTF.

Those of you who actually have friends/family who actually attempt to relate to TFs should consider yourselves fortunate. I have a kid brother who appreciates them for what they are, and wouldn't mind someday acumilating his own 20th OP but all in all he's a Trekie. Other friends are into either LOTR, video games or wrestling. I tell you there's little to no love whatsoever in this town for TFs. The only time one leaves Walmart or Superstore is if I buy it. Otherwise it sits there seemingly forever.

 

The only place I know of where can actually talk/discuss TFs is here on line. TFans is very quickly becoming my home away from home. It's awsome knowing I'm not the only one out there that  :luv , and appreciates the goodness that is Transformers. It's also a real motivation to stay on board and continue collecting. :thumb

This temp guy worked with me for a while. On day one he saw my Transformers at work. He said the My work space reminded him of his bedroom as a kid. The next day however he proceeded to tell me that his mother put all his original toys in storage and he did know. So he has all the original G1 Transformers still in the box in storage.  :wtf

 

Later he tried to impress me even more by letting me know that he has a connect with Hasbro and he gets every new Transformers figure that comes out. When ever a new fig comes out they go straight to his storage. I found this odd as Hasbro ships products in cases and there is no guarantee what you will get. I tried to explain to him that this is impossible but he reassured me that he has a Contact that can get Hasbro to send him One single new fig. He lost all credibility with me and his presence drove me crazy.

 

This dude looked like up bum but he but then he had the nerve to tell me about his American Express Black Card!!!!!  Im like this, this guy is working here with me form a temp agency and he's telling me he has a Black Card. I thought my head would explode!

haha, hmm that persons name isn't mike is it? Reason I'm asking this is, since I know a Mike who basically makes crap up to make people think he is cool, I also have a friend in the US, and another England who have friends called Mike who are the same.  ok, the english one is called Micheal but it is close enough.

 

PS: if there is anyone here called Mike/Micheal who I have offened by associating there name with this, I appologise.  :wave

He refuses to admit that it was infact the cab section from Ultra Magnus  :wtf

 

Oh, and he says he didn't have the trailer because "it was given to me by one of my cousins"
