why do non-fans constantly try to

Recommended Posts

why is it that there is no shortage of people who try to impress tf fans with facts that are totally made up? like "Oh, I had a G1 Arcee" or "I have G1 Unicron" and more recently "I've seen clips of the new live movie" etc etc.

do these people honestly want to impress us or do they just think we're guilable dumbs***s?

I know what you mean on this I try repaints for my own reasons.

As some times i find reallt bad sunfaded tfs like the black saber i did just look through the kit bashs as i posted it as battlestar like an idiot

I am trying to get a grandus which i got from japan for a new price just glad i know have him in the collection.

But some people just try to show and say look at me i have something you want na na na na na.

gets up my nose

Haha! I think I get what you mean. It's really painful to try to talk to non TF fans about Transformers.

i just try not to talk to people about it, they will either say it's stupid or lie about it in some form. of course there are exceptions

people know not to try that crap with me...I'm the only person they know who knows TF's!

try talking to a spouse that doesn't... lol .. you want some rough times? :-P

To be totally honest, very few people I know ridicule my hobby.  The ones I mention it to are like "oh yeah I remember those!"  Enough people have good memories of it to not see it as something stupid.  Even my students enjoy watching me surf eBay before school or seeing my latest acquisition (I have stuff sent to the school during the school year).

IMHO, those that do are closet fanboys.  They are at the site.. what are they  doing here if they aren't fanboys?

my 2 cents

Ash

I like when people show interest and try to relate (a la "I think I had a G1 Arcee)

I dislike people who tell me that I'm wrong, there was a G1 Unicron released.

G1 UNICRON ATTACK!!!

I have a BWNeo Unicron.

always make a good first impression..ha , i definenly know what you mean, people like that are just stupid espesially when you catch them in the lie
