Mega Starscream

Recommended Posts

I'm glad to have bought this one. It's everything cool about a giant figure that Supreme Cheetor was not. Definitely worth it.

I agree with AM... I was skeptical when I saw the proto pics, but next to Optimus he is my favorite GF / Cybertron to date.

And yes, I have the GF Screamer, too.  :tftongue

I have to agree that supreme stqarscream blew me away when I saw him in person. Thanks to plowking for hooking me up with him and megatron who kicks a-- also. But screamer is definitely worth it!

I've seen Steroidscream.. not a huge fan of him though. I'm probably gonna go with the 2 pack when it's out.. so I can snag me vector and a decent sized Starscream all at once. :thumb

Seems like we're in a downward spiral on Supremes since Unicron came out.  Omega Supreme was simpler and (IMO) not as good, and then we get this: 1 step above Supreme Cheetor, and that's only because the character design is so frickin' cool.  I agree that upscaling a figure w/ no discernable enhancements (and no, electronics are NOT enhancements!) is TEH LAME.

Omega Sentinel is better than Omega Supreme

Yeah they are both simplistic, however it was the way they transform that was the interesting part. The two vehicles combining down the center couldn't be complicated because then that would create to much give in some areas and he would end up toppling over. Not to mention he also combines with Prime.

Fort Max is built very simple as well. All he does is pretty much lay down on his back and his legs fold up and his arms strech out.

He's too big to interact with other Cybertron figures, but just right to interact with 20th Anniversary Prime.

I like big bots too, but i ll have to wait for the price to drop a little further before i ll get him from my local dept stores.... :thumb

I dunno, I rather fancy Omega Supreme. The only reason I would want Sentinel would be if I wanted MANY Sentinels. I'm not particularly crazed for either color, but I am a lover of the mold. Maybe that's just me, though.

Starscream represents a realization of balance in the design of Supremes. Armada Unicron was a marvelously difficult and sophisticated figure and though the collector's market praised the mold, parents went apesh1t because their kid's didn't know what the hell they were doing when they tried playing with it.

OS can be interpreted as HasTak overcompensating in trying to simplify the supreme and though it sold, it left much to be desired in terms of poseability and playability.

I think Starscream is the fruit of that. He's not as articulated as Unicron, but he is moreso than that of Omega. He's not as difficult as Unicron, but he's more complicated that Omega. He's also packed with about the right amount of gimmicks to entice a sale, nevermind a character more recognizable than the usual Supreme in a mold that's massive and loveable.

Well said.  :thumb

I personally just like the idea of a big ass Decepticon to balance the display.  The 'Bots get 20th Prime, and Unicron is wall mounted in the middle, since he's neither Bot or Con... so now Trypticon isn't trying to hold the "Big Con" spot anymore.  :clap

Or, he won't be, once I have a spare $50.  :redface

When I bought my MP Optimus I was only charged $49.99 for it.

O_O

That was one hell of a steal, Agent2man!

Yeah the Decepticons/Predacons always seem to get the short end of the stick when it comes to larger figures. However it should be noted that the largest badguy figure in the Beast Era was Gigastorm who was only beaten out in sheer size by Supreme Cheetor. I was really hoping that we would get a Gigastorm repaint in Universe, I mean i already own Trypiticon as well, so if I had three different version of the mold, I would start a sporting event similar to toddler racing. Only less fast paced and without the egotistical parents.

BTW was there ever a Big Convoy repaint in Unviverse?

However do we even know who the other Supreme figures will be? IIRC we were to get three supreme figures in Cybertron, We have Primus, Starscream, and yet the third one is unaccounted for.

It can't be Metroplex because he's a leader class, so it has to be someone else entirely new or another repaint.
