i think the silver part can fold back even more and the side parts can fold back then fold again on the 2nd/outer hinge making the wings a little smaller

It sure looks that way. It seems the only robot mode parts used in the alt mode are the legs.

so she realy doesn't transform by the looks of it, just hides inside a shell...but i still want this one, lol.
