dvdrhelp.com  Haven't checked it  myself yet, but my coworker pointed it out to me.  Look up your player on there and you may be able to remove the region blocking

:pfx its money in the bank for them and by the time they would get around to making one the run on the Japanese version would be done thus no competition between different brands. Plus they could prob change a few of the smaller details to differentiate it some as well

So...this Limited Edition guy went for $142 for the Proto and the actually DVD set with him in it sold out for around $100.

From all the previous threads, many have stated that even at $100 they didn't think this guy was worth it.  This is among adult(yes, this is a relative term) collectors.  People who are genuinely pretty serious about TFs.

 

My question is...do you think this attitude is exactly why the US does not receive Lucky Draw type limited editions like the Japanese?

 

The other interesting part of this, is that we are the wealthiest nation in the world and the West is notorious for spending money on needless and extravagant junk.  So why the flip flop here?

good question, but ooo, they gave us a special fan club full of junk and overpriced dues.... I wish we had lucky draw , grrrrrr

well the red exilerion was made in quite a few numbers to come with the DVD's as you posted so hes not realy a lucky draw.

 

the whole idea of lucky draw is that we buy normal products and then we get a 1 in a million chance to get a free uber limited toy. this seems to give a averige kid motive to get more so they can enter. as collectors we buy most of the toys any how and transformers is still a leading brand name amung kids so why do they need to do a promo like lucky draw

 

tho i would like to have a chance of getting a gold prime just cuz they look cool
