When a TF gets battered in a fight

Recommended Posts

This thought just crossed my mind.

When a TF gets battered in a fight, and body parts are mangled and twisted, they can't really Transform without doing themselves more damage, soooooo....

Do you think they Transform anyway, shearing off more of themselves as metal panels slide past one another shearing off what other pieces/wires/whoknows might be bent, or exposed, or do they stay in bot mode and try to salvage what's left of themselves?

And how much "pain" do you think they're in when they have to do one or the other?

Actually, I was watching the first few episodes of G1 season one the other day, and everytime one of the bots got injured Ratchet always asked them if they could transform.  So I would say yes, as aparantly they can gauge their injuries more acuurately that way. :thumb

Plus, remember Optimus got caught in an explosion in "MTMTE" part 3 and rolled down a hill? He was able to transform after that, but it took all his strength just to get the parts moving. Plus in another episode--don't remember which one--Megatron detonated a few Energon cubes and all the Autobots got blasted. They were all battered and dented, so some of them climbed into Ratchet's repair bay and got hauled back to base. The ones that could still transform did so and drove.

:schin

Beast Wars TFs never had trouble transforming that I remember.  They always went to beast mode after being injured.

Dark Journey may've had maximals that couldn't transform to bot mode, but I think they just chose beast.

MAGIC :thumb

if all the decepticons can fit in astrotrain then atleast a couple of autobbots can fit in ratchet... :tflaugh

They are strong enough to force their limbs and head out of the wreck so they can limp home for repairs.;)

Speaking of Astrotrain, in Five Faces of Darkness pt.1 he has alot of trouble transforming. He even has no legs. And Octane was frightened so much when he saw Starscream's ghost he froze up mid-transformation.

*Wonders if Beast Machine Maximals had any problems morphing with body damage*
