The skill level may represent the frustration that you will experience when trying to get all the tie wraps and such off your new figure when opening. Atleast, that's what I've experienced so far. :P

I opened my figures 5 minutes after I bought them in the parking lot.  What a pain in the ass.  At one point I tried using my keys to saw through one of them because it was so knotted up.

 

In the ironic punishment department somebody should kidnap a loved one of the person who came up with that idea and hang them over a pit of acid.  Bind them completely in those twist ties and give them 2 minutes to free them before they drop (so very kidding).  "Think its such a good idea now?!? No, I didn't think so." :tflaugh

Unfortunately, I went all around my area last night and I have everything we got. We didn't get Leader Class, Scout Class, or Deluxe Class. That leaves me waiting for my trip to Atlanta this coming weekend to get the rest of wave 1. That sucks, but oh well. Atleast I found what I found.

Interesting. Over the weekend I saw the Scout's, Deluxes, Voyagers, Leaders, Supreme, and no sign of the Ultra class. Could've been sold out at this point though I doubt it because everything had looked like it had just been freshly stocked.

 

One observation though. Why are Voyager an outragous $30 when Deluxes are $15 and they aren't even much bigger. I was actually quite surprised how small the voyagers in fact were. It may just be the box but Vectorprime looks freaking tiny IMO. I also expected the leader class megatron to be bigger. Passed on em both for the time being.

For reference, how does Scourge compare to Flame Convoy?

 

Are there noticable differences in paint apps or quality?

 

I think someone asked about case ratios...I'm not sure but I think there is one Scourge to two Jetfires.

I'm confused about the waves

My 'contact' at the TRU in Vero Beach called this morning - they just put out Wave 1 of Cybertron there. I picked up Megs, Jetfire, Crumplezone, and Vector Prime.

 

I already have Flame Convoy, Optimus, Hot Shot, and Noise Maze (Galaxy Force...)  all that's left for me are the smaller figures, and the HUGE Starscream.

 

If they are out here, then they SHOULD be out everywhere... we are usually the last to get them!

I scored Jetfire this afternoon (though I'm going to be calling him Dreadrock, as I'm all Jetfired out), and I'm very pleased with him, though I don't understand why he's an Ultra, since he is about the same height as Vector Prime.

 

Speaking of Vec, my gods, the Cybertron version looks AWFUL. I'm glad I went with the Galaxy Force version.

 

I'm still trying to decide if I'm going to get Scourge; I may just stick with the All-Stars/Legends of Cybertron microversion for this guy. I'll probably pick up Crumplezone to go with my Alternators, and Starscreamistator if I get really bored and have the cash to kill.

 

Outside of them, the next full-sized Cybertron toys I'll be after are going to be Sideways and (probably) Dark Scorponok. I'm perfectly happy with my Hybrid-Style Convoy (he fits in much better with the scaling of my collection), and I think the All-Stars versions of most of the characters will suffice (outside of Hot Shot, who is too flippin' big).

Nothing's wrong with the Cybertron version. It doesn't have all of the paint apps. that the GF version has, but it doesn't bother me.
