Howdy.  I started collecting TFs (deliberately) when I was a senior in high school.  I started back up again recently, inspired by my friends getting me the 20th anniversary OP (MISB, top left) and randomly picking up the sole Alternator figure I have.  I've always loved Transformers, but I got hooked again when I finally sat down and watched Beast Wars.  I now own the series on DVD (as of yesterday, my birthday).

 

 

 

You can see a G1 Soundwave on the bottom shelf.  The picture quality as a whole is lacking, thanks to the lighting in here at the moment.  He's hard to make out, but he's in great shape.

 

Also, on the top shelf, I have the TRU Energon 2-pack featuring Megatron and Optimus Prime.  I mostly collect Beast Wars, but I'll pick up a figure that strikes a cord with me, such as the Shockblast.

 

I'm glad to have found a forum with such enthusiastic TF fans!

The Alternators are great. They're what got me (28 years old!) back into collecting Transformers. I missed out on all that Beast Wars stuff (puberty got in the way) and my Mum gave all my G1 stuff to charity. At least it didn't get binned!

Thanks, guys!  Yeah, this has recently put a little dent in my wallet, but I've found getting back into it to be very fulfilling somehow.  It's nice to have a legitimate hobby.  I think it's a void a lot of people neglect to fill.  I love G1 to death, but I can't afford to get the kind of collection I'd like to going at the moment.  My car payment, insurance, and student loans prevent.  Fortunately, I love Beast Wars, despite having once regarded the series with a ton of apprehension.  When it was all said and done, though, the show was amazing.

My thanks again for the warm welcome.  I'm always tempted to open the toys, but I always manage to resist.  I think I know I'd end up regretting it once the initial enjoyment I'd receive from playing with them had worn off.  I don't know if I'd ever have the heart to part with my figures, but something about the fact that they're MISB (either bought from the store, or online via ebay, mostly) really adds something, for me. 

 

Of course, when I *know* I won't be able to resist, I buy two of a figure.  There's a certain 15" tall Starscream I plan on getting two of...

 

Not pictured (in a sense): MOSCs- BW Silverbolt, Quickstrike, TM Cheetor, TM Rhinox, Torca (ugh), Loose BW Megatron, Loose 20thOP, and Megatron is attached to Energon OP.
