I watched an eposide of  RID (had a recorded on VHS) Saturday and it so f'ckin painful to watch (episode where Megatron becomes Galvatron).  I've seen one episode of Armada (Tital Wave's debut) and ARMADA HANDS DOWN BITCHSLAPS RID ALL OVER THE PLACE.  Of course I need to go back and watch them all (or else it will eat at me).

Best order of viewing: G1, Beast Wars, Energon and all other.

So FLAME ON!

I pretty much agree.  I have yet to be able to get through a whole ep of RID without falling asleep.  Seriously.  It bored me into a slight coma-like state.

Armada only made me just a bit drousy.  OK, maybe I fell asleep during a few episodes (some where around Carnival and up to where Scavenger shows up...I think), but I was able to get through most of the series.

The toys are a different story.  While I would be reticent to say they are the best TF's hands down, many RID original molds are better than Armada, but I feel each series has its own winners (Megatron/Trains/Sideburn) and losers (Omega Prime(who I believe suffers from vertigo), Landfill, I am looking at you).

ok between omega prime and the other combined guy from armada plus to make it fair he has Overload than who would win.

Omega Prime, I imagine. He was pretty powerful, from what I remember.

true but with overload the other guy might have a chance.

Personally for me I'd have to toss Rid in the same boat as Armada being second to Beastwars/Beastmachines.

I haven't seen all of Rid but from what I have seen it was enjoyable for the most part. I never cared for the Predacons though the Autobots made it well worth watchind. I think the story really picked up well following Ultra Magnus's return, and later with the Brave Maximus arc. Armada was fun to watch to seeing as it had IMO a proper balance similar to Beastwars reguarding plot vs mind numbing action. It's really to bad the human characters detracted so much from this serries.

Energon however is a bad as it gets. Poor CGI/animation, pathetic action sequences, incomprehensible story telling, brutal voice acting characterization, need I go on. :roll The only high points regaurding Energon was the kick as toys, comics, and return of Megatron as an absolute badass. :thumb

Toywise Rid wins hands down though Energon was easily my favorite to date. Armada was simply a gigantic leap in the wrong direction reguarding toy designs.

OK they could of change the way Energon looked no crappy 3D. For me the only way that armada would win is the 3 minicon weapons. (Sorry if I miss spelled anything.)
