You too??!! :inheek

To be honest, I'm not really broken up over this.. meh.

Harrison Ford as Optimus Prime.

Come on, people, that's what they did for the G1 movie.  They hired a good number of reasonably well-known actors that had never previously appeared on the TV series, most of whom didn't return for the third season.  Orson Welles, Judd Nelson, Leonard Nimoy, Robert Stack...

He's got a point you know. :thumb

No great surprise, there.

They are probably going to go the Dreamworks route (hire big name, "hot" actors) instead of the Pixar route (hire actors who are actually suitable for the part).

The problem with Dreamworks is that they only depend on the star power for success and often make shallow, formulaic and mediocre plots for their animated flicks. The only animated DW movie that would actually match Pixar's quality is Shrek. Still both companies did not discard the need for popular and talented celebrities and therefore we get Tom Hanks and Samuel Jackson starring in their movies. Being a huge Hollywood movie, there has to be big names.

i just wished that Lucasarts would take over this project so we will know they'll do a good job animating them.

Um... not to pee in anyone's chips but Don was asked about that article again earlier and how much truth there was in it...

I answered already this week

NONE whatsoever

Harry Knowles made it up in between Krispys.

He's also reiterated that he wants Cullen and Welker cos most fans seem to want Cullen and Welker but that, so far, he's the only one. And that he'll put the idea forward when the script is in.

His weekly report was just to say there was nothing to report, so I won't worry about starting a new thread.

Oh, and Don doesn't seem to hate AICN - he did an interview in the story that "broke" the news about the horror movie. But he does seem to hate the ginger gnome that runs the site.

Anyway, his weekly update can be found here.
