Alt Grimlock digital repaint/planned kitbash

Recommended Posts

Heres a few photoshoped pics I made up of a planned repaint/kitbash using Alternator Grimlock. It's loosely based on my own 2004 Ford Mustang and the 1969 Boss Mustang 302 Trans Am racecars. He'll receive a comparable paint scheme as well as the original Decepticharge head. (If I can obtain one haha.) What do you guys think?bt-grimlock1-11.jpgbt-grimlock1-05.jpgat-grimlock2-10.jpgat-grimlock2-03.jpg69boss.jpg

Mighty fine work y'all got there! Definately a unique color scheme and a schway mod for the head. :thumb Can't wait to see the real thing in pictures upon your work table.

The only thing I'd switch is the "cod piece" color. Red just screams "OPEN TARGET!!" to me. Perhaps a subdued silver or grey?

It's nice to have another new member around so, please, kick back, have a few drinks or Coke coke.gif ? We have both stocked in the fridge.> and enjoy all the wonders this site has to offer! Just don't expect to see me around this forum too much. :D

Hmm, point well taken.  :tfevil at-grimlock2-01.jpg

I think the grey is a little weak though... Maybe go for the orange of the body? Would just give a little bit of weight to his middle so the eyes don't just pass right over it when you look at the bot. I agree though... the red was just asking for a low blow =P

Love the new colorscheme.  Didnt have any problems with his cod piece being red at all but maybe black or that metalic orange would be a good idea?

Hmm, point well taken.  :tfevil

STATION! :thumb Good thing the suggestion was made before the actual painting, eh? :lol Still... very good work, bub and I am going to keep waiting for the final product!

p.s. Exactly what is the 5th picture in the first post supposed to be? Perhaps it's just a broken link and can be easily fixed on your end? Just letting ya' know. Later!

The 5th picture is a 1969 Boss Mustang 302, which this paint scheme is based upon, along with my own Mustangs shade, Competition Orange.  :thumb
