Hey all. I have a small dilemma. I feel like I'm at a point in my life where money is more necessary than TF's and because of this, I need to sell part of my collection. The question is, do I sell my alts or my GF figs? I hate to get rid of either one but if it comes down to selling one or the other, which would you go with? I'm mainly wondering which line would be most valuable in the future and more of a collector's item. If you could give me some feedback on your thoughts, please do :)

I'm gonna have to go with the Alternators (meaning "keep them"). Cybertron/GF is the latest line, so of course everyone's all like "it's so hot right now". But I have a feeling that the Alternators is a more unique line, one less likely to be repeated. FWIW

Alts...in a few years all people will care about from GF/C are the leader bots, starscream, and maybe Metroplex. As much as we complain about them, the Alts are all classics.

 

Also...if there ever comes a time that you need to hide them as toys, they disguise much more easily as "model" cars. :D

Yeah I doubt they'll be trying to sell a 2003 Subara WRX mold 10 years from now. Unless Alternators gets a hit TV show. Then they'll be Walmart Exclusives(who am I kidding? In 10 yrs there will only be one store to buy anything) They will probably have crazy neon color schemes. Sideswipes will be Green an black and have "SIDESWIPE" Etched on the doors.

Dont do that. I couldn't bring myself to get any G2 figures aside from the Shiney matalic looking minibots. Most of them were the correct color. Optimus with Black legs was kinda Okay but Starscream with camo wings? To me I looked at the whole line as bootleg Transformers.
